Mediterranean Fajitas

Reviewed: Apr. 26, 2014
We loved this! The will be our go to for fajitas. I did marinate the beef over night and the flavor of the beef was perfect. Not too tangy. 150ml= 5 ounces, or little less than 2/3 cup. Thanks Don!

Herb-Crusted Chuck Roast

Reviewed: Feb. 10, 2014
My roast came out tough, could be the cut of the meat, I don't know. I did like the flavor. Had to put into my crock pot to tenderize it. Had to pour some beef broth over it and cooked it for 2 more hours.

Garlic Spread for Garlic Bread

I spread this on pizza dough to make garlic bread sticks. Turned out well, however, couldn't taste the garlic. Next time I will add a little more garlic.

This was very good. I think it'll be good without the chicken. I will make this again.

Vanilla Wafer Cookies

Reviewed: Jan. 25, 2014
This is a good recipe. You really must put 2inches apart as they spread while baking. I only had to bake for 10 min. I really had to watch the second batch 'cuz the first batch was burnt.

Easy Pepperoni Bread

Reviewed: Jan. 4, 2014
This was okay. It was very dry. I did the oil and seasonings but that wasn't enough. It puffed up in the middle and expanded where pepperoni was oozing out. My children didn't eat it all.

Caramel Pretzel Nut Popcorn

Reviewed: Sep. 13, 2013
This is dangerously good! I did bake mine to get it more crispy. I only halved this recipe but not the caramel sauce. Suggestions; you'll need to double caramel sauce if doing 8 cups of popcorn plus the cups of nuts and pretzels

The Best Baby Back Ribs You'll EVER Eat!

Reviewed: Aug. 7, 2013
This turned out very well. I only baked the ribs for 3 hours. I ran out of propane so when I basted the bbq sauce I place the pan back into the oven 15min. I basted it 2 more times and baked for an additional 30min. The meat just fell right off the bone.

Delicious Ham and Potato Soup

Reviewed: Mar. 5, 2013
I followed this recipe to the "T" the first time. The flour never did get smooth and when added to the soup it stayed lumpy. The second time I made this soup I adjusted the directions and used cornstarch in the place of flour. First, I put the bouillon into the water then added the a ham bone into a crock pot. I set the temp to 4 hours on high. Then I added the chopped veggies and set crock pot on low. I didn't use butter. I stirred 2 tblsp of corn starch along with 2 tblsp of water into a bowl til smooth then added to the soup. I cooked additional hour. I only had to use 1 cup of milk. I did add more ground black pepper than what it calls for.

Basic Buttermilk Muffins

Reviewed: Feb. 16, 2013
The first time I made this recipe it turned out dry. The second time I made it I changed the quanity and omitted a few ingred. Here's what I did the second time around; I let the butter soften instead of melting, omitted the baking powder but did use 1 tsp baking soda, used 2/3 cup of buttermilk, 1 1/2 cup of all purpose flour, 1 tsp salt, 1 tsp of nutmeg and instead of whisking I used my kitchen aid. I creamed the butter and sugar together, added the egg and vanilla extract and beat til smooth. I did not sift the dry ingredients. I alternated the buttermilk with the dry ingredients. Sprayed baking Pam into the muffin pans. I filled each 2/3 full and topped with Jan's Crumb Topping or Streusel. Baked at 350 degrees for 15 minutes. They came out moist and very tastey!

Garlicky Tortellini Soup With Sausage, Tomatoes and Spinach

Reviewed: Jan. 24, 2013
I love this soup! My daughter doesn't like tomatoes, so, I had to add them last. I added other ingred and return to a boil. I scooped out a bowl for her then added then added the tomatoes. I had forgotten the parmesan while we were eating but needless to say it is good without it.
