Feels Like the First Time!

The first time.
Yes! Yes! Yes! Ooooh, Yes! Sweet Mother Nature Buttermilk! After today, there will never be another first time. You only have one first time, after all. One chance to to get it right with the opening bell. Seconds and thirds don't count, or do they?
There has to be a beginning somewhere, and this is my beginning, for better or worse. Time to take the plunge into food blogging. A thousand mile journey begins but with one solitary single first step. So, here goes.
With all apologies to Foreigner, it feels like the first time, feels like the VERY first time, I have waited a lifetime to get this blog on the road. It feels exciting, it feels scary to put one's heart and soul out there for others to examine, it feels
like the sweet anticipation of school boy youth, it feels like the nervousness of something new and strange, it feels like opening up the door to another beautiful cosmic world in all of it's splendor.
Please, join me in this odyssey of a blog called "This .....; That .....; and There .....!"
We are going to have a little of "This .....;" a little of "That .....;" with a pinch of "There ....!"
Accompanying us on this great adventure will be my trusty and dependable kitty who goes by the moniker of Mi Gato Loco. For every Allrecipes recipe that kitty likes, she bestows upon me a prized and golden Stamp of Approval (SOA). It is reminiscent of the
Golden Ticket that Willy Wonka once gave out back in the olden time. Mi Gato Loco knows great tasting food as kitty was rescued from a shelter to be given a second lease on life and has since been enjoying the good life at
mój dom (what language is that?).
Me? I'm a fairly late bloomer to the wonderful world of the culinary arts. Heck, just a few years ago, I couldn't even whip up some good brown gravy. Imagine that, a Southern boy not able to whip up a simple good brown gravy. It was bordering on being sacrilegious
to my heritage. My kin folk nearly disowned me. Still luv you, Cousin Glenn! However, through a life changing event, cue the Tammy Wynette song "
D-I-V-O-R-C-E" ( http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=i2o9-jmtNoU), I resolved to learn how to cook great tasting food. Got tired of eating
tacos and Ragu spaghetti all the time. I knew if others could do it, I could do it.
Until later .... arrivederci
Mi Gato Loco
