Carrot Burgers

I used a food processor to shred all of the veggies and they still didn't stick together so well. Neither myself or my two children really cared for the taste of these. My son asked me if I could 'never make them again'. Unfortunately, this was a miss for our family.

Lemon Butter Chicken

I was hopeful that this would be good based on reviews, but was let down. I don't think these flavors melded at all...and the result was very bland.

Delicious Spinach and Turkey Lasagna

This was just average for me. I followed some of the other recs like adding only 3 cups spinach on top of the ricotta layer (which I mixed with 2 eggs), and added 3 garlic cloves. I only added 1.5 Tablespoons of italian seasoning and thought that was a bit much--3 Tablespoons would have ruined the dish. I think I will continue looking for another alternative to lasagna.

Fresh Asparagus Soup

Wow, amazing soup. I did tweak a few things-used chicken broth, whole milk and sour cream. Also, I needed to whisk the flour mixture thoroughly after adding the broth to get all of the lumps out. I didn't know what to expect as I don't have much experience with making soups, but I will definitely make this one again!

Easy Whole Wheat Peanut Butter Cookies

Ended up burning for me after 7 minutes. I thought these were just ok. I ended up refrigerating the dough so it would be easier to work with.

Strawberry Pretzel Salad

Delicious! Used the suggestion of crushing the pretzels in the ziploc bag and pouring out the salt that collects. I used white sugar in the crust instead of brown. My husband LOVES this 'salad'.

Charleston Breakfast Casserole

I got SO many compliments on this. I used 2 cups of milk and 7 eggs since I was a bit nervous when I poured on the liquid, it was absorbed so quickly, and it turned out perfect! Everyone liked this one better than the sausage one I usually make. This is definitely a keeper!

Tomato-Cream Sauce for Pasta

WOW. I made this for my sister's birthday dinner, as tomato cream sauce is her favorite. I was hoping this would come close...she and everyone else told me it was better than any restaurant version! The changes I made were to reduce onion to 1/2, and added an extra garlic clove. I took another reviewer's advice and pureed it in the food processor before adding the cream and it was a perfect consistency. I will definately be making this one again!

Egg Salad I

I eyeballed the measurements and added a bit more mayo and omitted the onion. I haven't zinged up egg salad before and will definately be using this recipe for egg salad from mow on!

Dad's Pad Thai

I wasn't too crazy about the sauce--it seemed like something was missing. It was a little too 'sour' for me. I like mine a little more peanut flavored. (Maybe I'll try the peanut butter addition another reviewer recommended.) I reduced the carrots and used 3 eggs. Still looking for a pad thai recipe that is closer to my favorite restaurant dish...:)

Kielbasa Made Easy

I let it marinate for ~3 hours in the slow cooker and it came out great! My husband wants me to put it into our meal rotation. I have no problem with that as it is a quick and easy midweek meal!

Beer Bread I

I didn't have self-rising, so used 1 T baking powder, 1 tsp salt. Don't forget the 1/3 cup sugar! Also added 3 T melted butter over the top before putting it in the oven. Next time I'm going to try to add some cheese. Great recipe, thanks!

Angel Hair Pasta with Shrimp and Basil

I definately have to say that this is a fantastic dish! I had some fresh herbs and was looking for a recipe and this caught my eye. I doubled the garlic and use 1 28oz. can of tomatoes and it was awesome! My husband and I loved it, especially with the fresh grated parmesan cheese. I never deveined shrimp before which is quite a process, but besides that very easy to make! Thank you!

Christmas Breakfast Sausage Casserole

I make this dish whenever we have overnight guests and everybody raves! I did make it as the recipe stated initially, but the following substitutions were necessary and definitely enhanced the flavor: Jimmy Dean Maple flavor sausage, 6 eggs (instead of 4) and sharp (not mild) cheddar cheese. I plan to try the sage sausage at some point to see the difference in flavor. Great recipe!

Apple Raisin French Toast Strata

I made this for company, mixed in the cream cheese as recommended, and used only 6 eggs. It came out more mushy and less like the french toast consistency I thought it would be--and I cooked it for longer than the recommended time. Everyone thought it was just ok; I think the consistency is what turned them off.

Easiest Peanut Butter Fudge

I followed other suggestions 1 c peanut butter, 2 c brown sugar and 3 c confectioners sugar--brought it for dessert this Thanksgiving and got raves about it! Someone who loves fudge tasted it and said it was the best he ever had! I will definately be making this fudge to put in cookie platters this Christmas...thank you!

Easy Italian Chicken II

I first poked holes in the chicken on both sides with a fork to let the dressing really seep in and marinated it for about 6 hours. It is a quick and easy recipe that never fails!

Apricot Chicken I

The chicken came out nice and moist baked this way. I halved the recipe and used lipton soap mix and the wishbone dressing. My boyfriend enjoyed the taste more than I did, but it was a quick and easy dinner. I would make it again!

Overnight Coffee Cake

I thought this coffee cake was delicious! I prepared it the night before for company and just had to pop it in the oven as is. We enjoyed it as a dessert cake after a pasta dinner. I liked that it was so moist, you didn't need to rely on milk or coffee as with other cakes I've tried. I will be making this again!
