Yummy Sweet Potato Casserole
I followed the top two helpful reviewers (Melissa & Auntnett) and baked the sweet potatoes, halved the sugar and substituted brown sugar for the remainder; Then I made double the amount of topping. The results? Tons of compliments on Thanksgiving! I didn't even know my husband would eat sweet potatoes! My hint? When you see a recipe with a thousand reviews retaining its five star review record - use it! This one is a winner.

Bacon for the Family or a Crowd
There are so many benefits from this method! Bacon doesn't curl, no more grease spatters and best of all the house isn't taken over by the bacon smell! I found it took a good 20 minutes to get it a little crispy but it is so worth the extra time.

Apple Pie by Grandma Ople
We think this recipe is wonderful, so much that I am going to try it again tomorrow with a homemade crust. I read and took suggestions from reviewers to brush the bottom crust with egg white to keep from getting soggy and also added cinnamon to the syrup mixture. I was going to mix the syrup and apples as someone suggested and then dump into the crust butI didn't. Instead I stuck to the recipe and dumped 3/4 of the mixture over the apples and it blended in nicely. No need to make extra work and dirty dishes by blending the syrup and apples as others suggested. All in all a very easy and extremely tasty recipe. A keeper for sure! Many thanks, Moshasmama, for submitting your Grandma's recipe.
