Cinnamon Cranraisin Bread

Slow Cooker Beef Stew I

I love using my slow cooker, particularly because I like to make my lunches for the whole week on Sunday. This is a great one - also consider adding fresh parsley and throw in a splash of red wine into the broth. Makes a filling yummy lunch.

Pumpkin Apple Streusel Muffins

This is delicious but I reduced the sugar from two cups to one and used 1/2 cup white sugar and 1/2 cup brown sugar. I don't want something too sweet.

Beef Barley Vegetable Soup

I love this type of stew - very hearty, I make a lot of recipes that are variations on this recipe. Instead of using frozen mixed vegetables, I use fresh carrots and tomatoes from the farmers market. Also, I always add fresh parsley.

This was very tasty. I pretty much followed the recipe to the letter, except I used one fresh tomato and one 16 ounce can of stewed tomatoes. I used lots of garlic and it came out very hearty and tasty, though as another reviewer commented, I don't know if I will want it every day of the week, in which case I believe I will freeze about a third of it for a later date.

Baked Sweet Potato Sticks

I can tell that if I cooked these longer they would have come out better. I cooked them for the 40 minutes but they came out too soggy to truly be called a fry. However, the flavor of sweet potatoes carries every time and they were still incredibly tasty. I like it with the paprika.

Roasted Root Vegetables With Apple Juice

This was nice. I actually prefer using a combination of apple juice and lemon juice to the white wine. I think it's a better combo. But I do love roasted root vegetables in the winter. They're at the farmer's market in bulk, and they're full of nutrition and flavor.

I have made this at least five times and it is probably one of the best veggie recipes I have ever found. The combination of yams and apples is a marriage made in heaven. I will make this one again and again. It's perfect as written. Thank you so much.

Colleen's Slow Cooker Jambalaya

This is the most delicious jumbalaya. I followed the instructions to a t and it turned out perfectly. However, a couple of things I would recommend: (1) I used fresh herbs: fresh thyme and parsley, which I always think improves a dish; (2) I added a bunch of fresh minced garlic; (3) I also chopped up a fresh tomato to put in it. Thanks so much! I will use this one again.

Slow Cooker Beef Stew IV

I made this but I added to it. I added tomatoes, celery, fewer potatoes and I added lots of fresh parsley and thyme. I added extra wine to the stock and instead of using water I used beef stock. It turned out absolutely delicious. I love it.

Spinach Quiche

I have made this several times and it is amazing. You can vary the recipe a little bit - I do. I use it sometimes with different types of cheese or add crumbled bacon. But it's delicious believe me.
