Frog Cupcakes

Reviewed: Oct. 2, 2010
I made my own frosting from a buttercream recipe here on allrecipes. These frog cupcakes, I made today for my daughter's 4th birthday - Princess and the Frog theme. They were a big hit, I got so many compliments on how cute they were! Warning, they are SOOO time consuming!! I'm glad I did them, but be warned - make them early! Hahah. I used a gel-writing-icing that comes in its own tube so I didnt need to mess with the red food coloring. I made the mouths different they were really cute ;)

Added a bit of garlic powder and onion powder per other suggestions. Doubled the recipe and did 1 cup sour cream and 1/2 cup milk. Used french style green beans and tossed in a can of mushrooms. Tasted so great - traditional and yummy!!

Antipasto Pasta Salad

Reviewed: Apr. 18, 2011
Everybody loved it! Believe it or not, I couldn't find asiago (well, I found it in the hugest ever chunk and wasn't wanting to buy THAT much) - so I used mozerella, and italian blend (which contained asiago). I made it all the night before, including the olive oil mixture, but I didnt mix them together until an hour before. Although, I did drizzle in some olive oil with the salad the night before, just to keep things from getting sticky. It was deeelish, in fact, I think I'll have some more now.

Clark's Quiche

Reviewed: Mar. 26, 2011
I made four deep dish quiches with this recipe (I increased it only just a tad since everyone was saying it made a lot). I gave two away and kept two myself - heehee. Been having it for breakfast or lunch each day - and sending hubby to work with it, too. Really tasty - will make it again for sure :)

Sarah's Applesauce

Reviewed: Nov. 4, 2010
Yummy! But I was the only one who partook of it! Although, probably because it was Halloween night and the kids were way more interested in their candy ;) It tasted lovely, like apple pie, and next time I will try it with vanilla ice cream!

Tasty Tortilla Roll-ups

Reviewed: Dec. 17, 2010
They were a hit! Made them for a potluck of sorts at my daughter's preschool - and I put them out with mild salsa and they disappeared super quick. I double the ingredients, added shredded cheddar and some tastefully simple fiesta dip mix - it was great. Rave reviews, super quick and easy to make. Thank you!

Chicken and Sausage with Bowties

Surprised at how good this was even though it was so simple. A keeper for sure! I added half a cup of half and half. Used turkey breakfast sausage, added some more garlic, really nice. Thanks!

Crab Dip

Reviewed: Oct. 4, 2010
Feel bad for only giving it three, like maybe it's something I did wrong (although I did use too much old bay seasoning) I wasn't that impressed with this, but maybe it's the canned crabmeat - and I should have gone with lump crab, or even imitation for more texture. It was okay :) Maybe read more reviews and use their suggestions.

Yummy! Easy peasy lemon squeezy. I used some of the suggestions I found from the other reviewers and they were good, but next time I'll try the original way. :)

I made this a lot different - but wanted to give it five stars for helping me make what I ended up with! I ended up making Crock Pot sausage stuffing and it was so amazing, it couldn't have been so without this recipe to start me out with :)

Not much to say, really - but had to rate 5 stars since it deserved it. Truly a wonderful, well rounded in flavor guac. We've made it several times - and whenever we make it for company or social occasions, we get rave reviews :) Highly recommend.

Enchilada Casserole III

Reviewed: Jul. 30, 2010
Omg, so deelish, and I've had lots of different recipes. In the layers, I added a layer of whole green chilis, that I sliced open so they layed out flat. I also used 2 lbs of ground beef and mixed in a taco seasoning packet before adding the beans. It was to die for!

Wave Your Flag Cheesecake

Reviewed: Jul. 3, 2011
I made this wrong! So, I can't give it 5 stars based on what I did. BUT, what I ended up with was really great and got rave reviews! I only had one strawberry jello, so I used a packet of unlavored gelatin and added 1.5 tsp to that. I also didn't have cool whip, so I made whipped cream with heavy whipping cream, sour cream and sugar - of which I was supposed to used powdered but only had granulated! I also only had 2 hours til party time, not the 4 hours required to chill! So, I put it in the freezer instead for an hour - and it all worked out. Really tasty. I think I will make the jello again the same way as I did before, but try using cool whip next time as that would be way faster and easier! But it did have a great tangy taste making homemade... :) Thanks so much for this recipe, I will be sure to make it again!
