Incredibly Easy Chicken and Noodles

Reviewed: Jul. 18, 2010
Incredibly easy, incredibly good. I added diced onions and some mushrooms, and it was excellent.

One-Dish Beef and Mushroom Skillet Dinner

Reviewed: Jun. 8, 2010
A very pleasing weeknight supper. I used Penne because I had it on hand and also spicy Rotel tomatoes. I added Parmesan at the end, and I think that really improved the taste.

Cappuccino in a Jar

Reviewed: May 30, 2010
This is a great gift in a jar for a coffee drinker obviously, but my non-coffee drinking friends enjoy having a jar of this around to serve to company wanting coffee after dinner.

Baked Ziti I

Reviewed: Mar. 24, 2005
This is an excellent recipe, as you can tell from the positive reviews. It does make ALOT, but it freezes really well! I froze it in individual servings and my husband took it for lunch and LOVES it!

Heavenly Potatoes and Ham

Reviewed: Aug. 11, 2004
This recipe is great because all of the ingredients are delicious. However, the proportions are off. It needs more ham, less potatoes and no extra salt. I slice the potatoes instead of quartering. Also, once I didn't have enough sour cream and supplemented with french onion dip. It was awesome. Also, if you are out of bread crumbs, finely crushed Ritz crackers with butter drizzled on top are a fine substitute. In fact, I prefer it.

Creamy Lemon Cake

Reviewed: Aug. 11, 2004
I made this simple cake as written... and it was a huge hit. I made it for pool party/barbeque and everyone agreed it was a perfect cool, lemony, summer dessert. There are many ways to vary this recipe, but I personally liked the simplicity of the all-lemon flavors.

Decorator Frosting

Reviewed: Feb. 16, 2004
This was a very user-friendly frosting for sugar cookies. It was tasty, easy to spread and stayed delicious for the two days my cookies lasted! It's very sweet (as it should be!) - so you don't need a ton of it on each cookie .

The Best Rolled Sugar Cookies

Reviewed: Feb. 16, 2004
These were my first attempt at rolled sugar cookies. They were big, fat and soft - just perfect. I followed the recipe exactly and they came out perfect.

Ramen Coleslaw

Reviewed: May 21, 2003
I prefer the beef flavored ramen noodle packet. We like the taste of the dressing more. Also, contrary to some other reviewers, I think this slaw is best when the dressing is tossed right before serving. If it sits too long, it sogs out. The beauty of this salad is the crunchiness.

Caramelized Baked Chicken

Reviewed: May 21, 2003
I prepared this recipe exactly as written and it came out great. The wings were sticky and delicious. My husband loved them. The only tip I have... watch closely at the end for burning.

Ann's Sister's Meatloaf Recipe

Reviewed: Feb. 12, 2003
This receipe was good. I, like most, omitted the MSG. I also used ketchup for the top instead of tomato sauce. My only problem was that it was so moist that it was almost mushy. Next time I'll add more bread crumbs or reduce the water a little. I should point out, my husband thought it was great.

Corn Casserole II

Reviewed: Nov. 6, 2002
This recipe - despite the few ingredients and ease of preparation - won the crowd over at our church potluck. I used frozen corn, fyi, and it was fine. Also, you really need to increase the cooking time. I cooked it for almost an hour until the top was lightly golden. Just keep an eye on it.

Jamie's Cranberry Spinach Salad

Reviewed: Jun. 20, 2002
This is great salad - and very beautiful to serve. I too reduced the sugar and found it still quite sweet. I didn't need all the dressing. But it keeps in the fridge and it great on any salad.

Fresh Salsa I

Reviewed: Oct. 30, 2001
I needed to make something quick with ingredients I had on hand... and this fit the bill perfectly. I made a few substitutions: I didn't roast the jalepenos (in the interest of time) and I used canned tomatoes from my summer garden. Also, I added a handful of cilantro. The cilantro darkened the overall color, but the flavor was awesome. It reminded me of the salsa I get an an authentic Mexican cafe in my neighboorhood. Very good.

Spicy Bean Salsa

Reviewed: Oct. 21, 2001
This salsa was a hit with my co-workers. They all liked the interesting combination of ingredients and the "kick" of this salsa. I added fresh garlic and large bunch of fresh cilantro. I also added some of the juice from the jalepenos and used Zesty Italian Dressing. I served with a side bowl of sour cream and it was a great combo and helped cut the heat for the light of heart.

Honey Crunch Pecan Pie

Reviewed: Jul. 26, 2001
I am a novice "pie maker", but I had no trouble with this recipe. It was beautiful to look at and received rave reviews. I cheated and used a pre-made crust (a sin, I know) - but it was still delicious and a great recipe.
