Slow Cooker Taco Soup

Reviewed: Nov. 6, 2009
Quick & tasty. I didn't have all the ingredients on hand, so I substituted chili powder (3T) for taco seasoning and a can of tomato soup in place of the tomato juice. I made the soup on top of the stove instead of using a crock pot, and I added a 1/4 cup of sour cream at the end. I topped each bowl with a dallop of sour cream, chopped scallions, & shredded cheddar cheese. Very good! Next time I make this, I will make as a dip by omitting the tomato soup, adding 8 oz cream cheese & serving with tortilla chips.

My favorite Hummus recipe yet! We preferred it with a bit more fresh lemon, and slightly less tahini than the recipe calls for. Verrrrry tasty!

Very easy to make. I followed others advice and used 1/2 c oil, and 1/2 c applesauce. Also, I omitted 1c sugar and added raisins and chopped pecans. Made 1 small bread and 18 muffins. A winner!

Bill's Blue Cheese Dressing

Reviewed: Aug. 24, 2007
Excellent dressing. We prefer to cut the blue cheese in half and add a little 1/2 & 1/2 or milk to make it creamier. Perfect over a salad of fresh greens, toasted pecans, fresh pear, nleu cheese and craisins.

Catherine's Spicy Chicken Soup

Reviewed: Sep. 9, 2006
Ummm, ummm good! I cut all the ingredients in half and it still made a ton of soup! I used 2 cans rotel tomatoes instead of regular diced, and it gave it a nice kick. Simmered it in the crock pot all day....tastes better each time I go back for another cup!!

Absolutely Awesome BBQ Sauce

Reviewed: Sep. 9, 2006
Finally, the perfect bbq sauce. We prefer to substitute bourbon for rum, and be sure to use LOW SODIUM soy sauce. It's very quick and easy to make. Everyone raved over the pork bbq; I just placed a pork loin into the crock pot, poured the bbq sauce over, and let it cook for hours. Made a side of homemade coleslaw, and we were livin'! Great recipe!

This is really good if you use 1 box of instant vanilla pudding and 1 box of instant pistacho pudding, cut the amaretto in half, and serve with cinnamon graham crackers.
