About this Cook
I'm 62 yrs. old, mother of 4 grown daughters & 5 wonderful grandchildren. I love cooking, especially from scratcg. There's no recipe I'm not willing to try I'm a 62-yr-old married mother of 4 grown daughters & 5 wonderful grandchildren. I love cooking from scratch & trying all kinds of recipes. I also love sewing, quilting, knitting, & crocheting. I regret that none of my daughters is interested in learning any homemaker skills--they ask me to do all alterations. I have made Halloween costumes, Christmas & Easter dresses. Does anywone else have this happening?
My favorite things to cook
I love making soups, one of my husband's favorite things to eat on a cold winter evening. I love making desserts, side dishes, breads, and different vegetable dishes. In other words, I love cooking anything!
My favorite family cooking traditions
My extended family loves traditional They expecially love buffet style cookouts in the summer. Summer holidays bring them here to wade in our small pool, play on our Slip & Slide, and EAT!!
My cooking triumphs
I guess I'm pretty good at all kinds of desserts, soups, and main dishes. At holiday get together, everyone raves about my pecan pie and dinner rolls.
My cooking tragedies
I made an awful Kielbasa & vegetable dish. My garbage disposal husband wouldn't even eat it. My daughters will never forget a pizza burger I made when they were little.

Absolutely yummy! My husband said, "You can make this anytime." I actually think the cake is its best the second day.

Tangy Slow Cooker Pork Roast
While this was cooking, the smell of the vinegar was very pungent. Luckily, the end result tasted ok. But if I make it again, I will definitely omit the vinegar.
