I got a little carried away. I misread the original recipe, and added about a cup of parsley, plus I added a sauted onion. Instead of Italian bread I used Planko instead, had it on hand. also added some mozarelle I needed to use up.AND, ( I told you I got carried away), instead of water, I used some red wine. Now I know there is debate about whether to cook your meatballs in the sauce, or pre-brown (which I have always done in past), so I did 50-50. Used a tomato-basil sauce, and added some fresh mushrooms. This was a FEAST! The meatballs were the star!!! I used all beef, 93% lean, but I figured the extra cheese made it less so. All in all, the original recipe is a great base recipe. By the way, added some red win to the chef too! :).
