Baked Maryland Lump Crab Cakes

OMG!! Is there something wrong with me? These were not good....WAY too much egg product, spice, salt (from somewhere) and they were like little blobs!! $15.00 worth of crab wasted!! If anyone else thought these were terrible please let me know! Maybe I did something wrong, but I don't think so...I followed the recipe (except I halved the seafood spice)!

Coconut Pecan Cake

This was my second-favorite cake recipe from this web site...only surpassed by the Pecan Pie Cake!! If you are a pecan & coconut lover, you can't go wrong with this one!! Absolutely wonderful!

Creamy Shell Pasta Salad

I also used my own recipe for the pasta salad (cukes, carrotts, celery, gr pepp, tomatoes--NO cheese, brocc or egg) I also used chopped pecans instead of the sunflower seeds because I had them. I followed the recipe for the dressing exactly, except I used about a tbsp of apple cider vinegar because it was what I had. I cooked the pasta and made the dressing the day before, but waited until the party day to cut the vegs and mix the salad! It was perfect....I will use this dressing from now on!! HEADS UP--I doubled this recipe and had 8 people and LOTS of other food and it was GONE!!

Fruit Ambrosia

I wanted to comment on the amount of liquid. I made the "sauce" the day before using the juice from 1/2 a fresh lime. It did thicken up some. I mixed the fruit, etc, in a seperate bowl on the morning of the party, and only used about 3/4 of the sauce. Other reviewers were right...all of it would have been too much. Next time, I will wait longer to add the oranges, because they fell apart. All & all, this was delicious, and I will definitely make it again! HEADS UP...this served only SEVEN people at MY house!!!

Pecan Pie Cake I

I made this with chocolate cake mix and it got raves from everyone!! My husband LOVES pecan pie (especially choc pecan pie) and he loved this cake!! HEADS UP... I made it in a 9x13 pan, and baked it for 1 hr & 10 min AFTER the initial 20 min!! Next time I will bake the first layer for at least 30 min and go from there! It was fine with that long in the oven, though! Ice cream makes it even better!! :)
