Whole Grain Waffles

Reviewed: Jul. 5, 2014
This was really good. I only used 2t of the baking soda. I didn't have any applesauce so I just used 1/2 cup oil instead 1/4 applesauce and 1/4 oil. I topped it with whipped cream and the strawberry sauce in my recipe box.

Swanson® Heart Healthy Chicken Sandwich

Reviewed: Jun. 28, 2014
This was really yummy. I used melded two recipes together. I used 1/4 cup mayo and 1/3 cup plain yogurt. I did about 1/4 cup cashews, 2 green onions, and one medium and one small chicken breast. I just boiled the chicken breast the night before. I had forgotten to boil the eggs the night before so I didn't include them. I didn't include the lemon juice. I added salt and pepper and we served it over whole wheat bread and pillsbury croissonts with romaine lettuce, tomato, and honey mustard.

Naan

Reviewed: Jun. 28, 2014
This was really good. I did the dough in the bread machine. I proofed the yeast first and mixed everything together except the flour, put it in the machine, and then put the flour in the machine. The dough dries out quickly though so take it out of the machine promptly. Roll out the pieces super, super thin. Then I cooked them on the george forman brushing them with garlic butter. Don't cook them too long because you want the bread soft not crunchy.

Chicken and Bacon Shish Kabobs

This was really good but took alot of time to construct and cook on the small grill pan. I added red peppers and yellow onion to the kabobs.

Egg Breakfast Pizza

Reviewed: Mar. 30, 2014
This was alright but next time I'd just do quiche for about the same taste with a better texture and less work. I did fried eggs instead of scrambled (just cracked them raw onto the pizza) and they ended up over done.

Lime Chicken Soft Tacos

This was super delicious! We doubled the marinade using cilantro instead of oregano and served it with corn tortillas and guacamole.

Savory Sweet Potato Fries

Reviewed: Oct. 20, 2013
Bakes up crispier baking at 275 for 20 minutes and then at 425 for the remainder(maybe another 20 min). To get it actually really crispy outside fry though for about 4-5 minutes. Good with brown sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg and sugar too.

Butternut Squash Soup

Reviewed: Oct. 14, 2013
This was really yummy. I used italian seasoning instead of marjoram. I halfed it. I used the cream cheese, which gave it a richness. (The cream cheese was frozen and I just defrosted it in the microwave on defrost). I did yucky rolls baked in bread pan and cut into slices and then buttered, seasoned with parmesan, rosmary, thyme, and light garlic salt, and broiled.

Light Wheat Rolls

Reviewed: Sep. 2, 2013
These were also yummy as pretzels. I cooked the pretzels at 375 after brushing them with melty butter and salting them. The rolls overcooked at 400 and 375 at 9 minutes and undercooked at for 350 for 9 minutes. Good flavor but twice now I haven't been able to get a good cook on the rolls. I would do the pretzels again though

Gourmet Cream of Broccoli Soup

Reviewed: Aug. 30, 2013
This was yummy. I didn't fully blend it since I wanted some chunkiness and the texture was fairly good. I added bacon and cheddar cheese.

Whole Wheat Blueberry Pancakes

Reviewed: Aug. 30, 2013
These had a really yummy flavor with the 1 1/2 Tb brown sugar instead of fake sweetener and a teaspoon each of vanilla and cinnamon. David and I didn't like the blueberries in it. Using the 1 1/4 cup of milk gave it a good consistency. 2/3 cup filled the waffle iron.

Smore's Cupcakes

The flavor was pretty good but the texture of the cake was just a little different. Got rave reviews from the family though. I used store bought fluff.

Strawberry Muffins

Reviewed: Jul. 21, 2013
These were amazing! I thought they were up there with Costco muffins in yumminess. I did follow the recommendations of others though; I cut the flour by a 1/4 cup and added a teaspoon each of pure vanilla extract and cinnamon.

This was yummy but I thought it could use a little more heat. Next time I'll add some red pepper flakes.

Robbie's Recipe Collection: Thin Pizza Crust

Reviewed: Apr. 21, 2013
I did 1 cup of AP flour and 3/4 cup wheat flour. I kneaded it for a few minutes and let it rise for 30-60 minutes to double. Then I rolled it out thin and pre-baked it. I did the pre-bake and baking at 400 degrees. (You can do the pre-bake and load on the toppings and leave it in the frig overnight. It was still cripsy and good. Toppings - chicken, broccoli, ragu alfredo, mozzarella optional red pepper flakes was good (could use a bit more flavor maybe garlic) - pepperoni, sausage, onions, olives, mozzarella stuffed crust, tomato sauce, mozzarella or cheddar, fresh tomatoes

Peach Cobbler for Two

Reviewed: Aug. 25, 2010
This was SOOO good! Next time I will be doubling the recipe because my husband and I decided we both wished there was enough for seconds. I added about 2 dashes of cinnamon to the topping but other than that I followed the recipe exactly. Great flavor!

Burnt Butter Frosting

Reviewed: Aug. 23, 2010
I used this frosting to make the skin on Mario's cake for my brother's birthday cake. The color was just right for that. I didn't let the butter burn much at all though. It was a darkish yellow when I took it off the stove.
