Zucchini Brownies

Reviewed: Jan. 10, 2014
i made it a little healthier. i used 1/2 unbleached white flour, 1/4 whole wheat flour, and 1/4 almond flour. i only put 1/2 cup brown sugar (that's sweet enough for me and my family). i shredded the zucchini very fine, so, you can't see it in the brownies. in the frosting, i also used 1/2 cup maple/agave and used oil instead of margarine. the brownies came out delicious! the frosting added a lot (and were healthier than usual). yum!

Best Brownies

Reviewed: Nov. 19, 2013
well, it's 5 stars the way i made it, and i changed a lot to make it vegan and healthier. i replaced the eggs with banana, the butter with apple sauce, and the flour, with 1/2 whole wheat and 1/2 almond meal. i lowered the amount of sugar to 3/4 cup brown sugar, and doubled all the ingredients. i figured it wouldn't be enough. the brownies came out amazing! they are pretty and healthy and they taste great!

Speedy Cinnamon Rolls

Reviewed: May 20, 2011
i made these healthier and they came out good! i used trader joe's whole wheat dough, pam spray in stead of butter, i added blackberry jam, and almond milk instead of whipping cream. even with all these changes, it came out delicious. it was so easy. i'm definitely making these again the next time i have guests!

i just made these. they came out good! i used fresh tomatoes and basil (put them in oil). i didn't have sundried tomatoes. probably with sundried tomatoes it would've been better. still, delicious.

Orange Chocolate Muffins

Reviewed: Dec. 30, 2009
i made these, but made them healthier. they came out soooo good. i used mostly whole wheat flour (combined with unbleached white flour). i only had one egg, so i put it plus half a banana. i didn't have any milk, so i put more orange juice. and instead of margarine, i put apple sauce. plus, i added a couple tablespoons of flaxseed meal (for extra nutrition) and walnuts. the muffins came out so good, my husband and i, each, had 2 of them. i would definitely make them again!

White Bean Chicken Chili

Reviewed: Dec. 29, 2009
i made this last week and it came out delicious. i don't like spicy food, so i didn't put any chiles. my husband does, so when i served him, i put some chile flakes in his bowl and mixed it. we both enjoyed it.

Michelle's Peanut Butter Marbled Brownies

Reviewed: Oct. 17, 2009
i made this receipe a little healthier and it came out excellent! i replaced the margarine with apple sauce, i used a cup and a half brown sugar instead of 2 cups, i used 1 cup whole wheat flour and 1/4 cup white flour, and replaced the 3 eggs with mashed banana. also, i added some pecans in between the layers. it turned out great. the peanut butter taste is not too strong (which i liked, and i think my husband will like it, too.)
