It is spelled glühwein, which means so much as wine which makes you glow with warmth

Mom's Best Peanut Brittle

Reviewed: Dec. 8, 2014
I followed directions but for some reason the butter didn't mix well with the sugar mixture, it seperated once I poured it out on the sheet. They were greasy at the touch and very hard. But tasted allright. I wont be making these again.

Favorite Old Fashioned Gingerbread

Reviewed: Dec. 2, 2014
I doubled the spices and added 1/4 cup of applesauce like people suggested. I used light molasses(schenkstroop in Holland). I topped it with a lemon glaze...hmmm It's a perfect winter cake! Lovely!

Chewy Chocolate Chip Granola Bars

Reviewed: Feb. 5, 2014
The bars were too dry and didn't have much flavor. Not chewy at all! They were more brick/crumbly-like. You must drink some tea with these to help them go down.

MMMMM... Brownies

Reviewed: Feb. 4, 2013
It's more like a cake. It's very dry and way too salty! Not browny like at all. The big amount of bakingsoda wasn't helping the taste either..it added to the salty experience

Boilermaker Tailgate Chili

Reviewed: Nov. 16, 2011
What to drink? Beer! We love this recipe. I make it alot. We are a family of 5 and we eat 2 days from it! It is VERY HOT & spicy so I use only 1 tablespoon of chili powder and still we think its very spicy. Also I don't add the sugar and the salt.

I thought it was so so. I guess I should've used the sausages but didn't know where to get them. It was very filling indeed.
