Amazing Pork Chops in Cream Sauce

Substituted Kentucky bourbon/chicken broth for the wine and half & half for the cream. Used flour mixed with sour cream to thicken. I liked the flavour of the sauce, but it didn't knock my socks off! When husband tells me it "is just OK", that means we probably won't be making this again...

Golden Orange Frosting

Quite tasty, although I recommend doubling the recipe. I did and needed it all to frost a 2-layer 9" cake. Use fresh zest because it really adds great flavour. I also added it splash of orange extract.

Shrimp and Crab Enchiladas

Used a combo of fresh and canned crab; mixed up with 4 oz. of cream cheese (softened), sour cream and the onions. Used pepper jack cheese, and served with additional sour cream. My brother and brother-in-law were euphoric! Lots of praise! My husband said they were kind of fishy, hence the 4 stars only. Will try using all fresh crab next time. Doubled the sauce and the cheese on top of the enchiladas as others suggested. Thanks for sharing the recipe; will make again.

Slow Cooker Cranberry Pork

I made a few changes with this; used 3 2"-thick boneless pork chops which I dredged in flour mixed with Chicago Steak Seasoning (from Penzey's Catalog - this seasoning is awesome.) Catalina dressing and added extra dried cranberries and also maybe a 1/4 cup extra of the salad dressing. My husband thought it was a "keeper". Oh, and I added frozen broccoli as well. And I did it on the stove rather than the slow-cooker. Thanks for sharing this great recipe.

Apricot Salsa Chicken

I had to use water instead of apricot nectar (didn't have any), and I cut the chicken up into smaller pieces so it would absorb more of the flavour from the sauce. I think I added a bit more preserves than called for, but I also put in some ground red chipotle pepper for some more heat. Absolutely loved it!

Tex-Mex Patty Melts

I'm a fan of traditional patty melts, but this is a great recipe if you are looking for something a little different. I used white cheddar and the pepper jack together as my husband isn't a big fan of pepper jack. Really enjoyed this recipe!

Mustard Onion Pork Chops

Not a fan of yellow mustard, so I used honey-mustard. I kind of liked the flavour, but my husband wasn't thrilled. Certainly was easy to make!

Chicken Enchiladas Suizas

My husband thought this was awesome, and I enjoyed it, but I didn't like the way the sauce looked at the end. I think the cream may have gotten overcooked as it separated from the chicken broth. The enchiladas didn't look fabulous, but they sure tasted great! I also added sour cream to the filling to make it more moist. Thanks for the recipe, and I will make it again.

Oven-Fried Pork Chops

I followed the instructions and didn't make any changes. They were very moist, and quite tasty. My husband really liked them, and that is always a good thing! Think I could play around with the recipe and change the flavour depending upon what I use to bread the chops and what seasoning I use.

Slow Cooker London Broil

Used 2 cream of mushroom soup, 1 can of tomato soup, 8 oz. can of tomato sauce, Used wine and onions too. Added mushrooms, and then sour cream right before serving. Sauce was really great, but the London Broil was very tough with little flavour, and my husband refused to eat it. Won't make this again.

Honey Mustard Beer Brats

Great recipe! Followed the instructions except for not being able to find honey-mustard barbecue sauce in three different stores. Added mustard to honey barbecue sauce to make it work. Ate them right out of the pot on italian rolls with more mustard and lots of the peppers and onions. My husband loved it, and I will most definitely make this again. Thanks for sharing!

Sweet, Sticky and Spicy Chicken

Followed advice from others: dredged chicken in flour, doubled the sauce ingredients, and added frozen broccoli for the last 5-7 minutes. Sauce was thick enough; easy recipe with interesting flavours and it would have been fantastic if I hadn't doubled the hot sauce. My husband loved it but it was so hot that I couldn't eat it. I had to add a lot of sour cream to my serving! Will make it again with less hot sauce next time.

Cheesy Sausage Pasta

I used regular bulk sausage for this, but should have used Italian sausage. My husband really liked it and we will try this again with sweet Italian sausage! Used fat-free half and half and it worked just fine. Thanks for the recipe.

Chicken Tikka Masala

My non-cooking husband made the marinade and marinated the chicken for 2 days before putting the skewers on the grill. The chicken was very good with a level of spiciness that was just right. I didn't have any halapenos or cilantro, and I think that made it too dependent on the flavour of cumin for taste. I image the two ingredients I DID NOT use will make this recipe an excellent addition to my dinner rotation! Husband loved it.

Banana-Zucchini Bread

I made this following the recipe exactly as it was the first time. Will definitely make again, but I think I will add more zucchini as it was a little dry. Great flavour, though, and thanks for sharing the recipe.

Gouda Spinach Quiche

We really loved the flavours in this recipe. Had to make a few adjustments in the recipe as mentioned by others. What was important for me is that the smoked gouda I used was a really nice change from the more traditional cheddar/swiss combo I normally use, and the spinach was a good addition too. The flavours together ensure that I will make this again. Thank you for sharing this recipe.
