Basic Biscuits

Reviewed: Nov. 22, 2010
LOVE LOVE LOVE it!!! I tried with buttermilk (1cup milk+1tbls white vinegar) and accidentally tossed in the whole cup instead of 3/4 and still good! My second time making from scratch and must say less is more when it comes to handling. Lumpy n all start pressing softly soon as all is moistened. Def going into my recipe box =-)

Gingerbread Waffles

Reviewed: Jan. 3, 2011
Pretty good. I used 1 egg, only all purpose flour, and brown sugar. Not crispy and kinda rubbery but waffling is still new to me. I doubled recipe and filled the 4 square iron 3 times and made 12. Going to pop rest in freezer cause all my waffles are better warmed in toaster another day. Had them with good ol fructose free log cabin. Babysitting so total 5 kids with mine and they ate all of theirs.

Sweet-Potato Muffins

Reviewed: Oct. 1, 2009
I loved it! I didn't have walnuts or raisins so didn't use them but followed recipe all the way othewise. Made them again and tried to use applesauce instead of oil and it is sooooo not the same, just use the oil. My 8, 3,2 years olds love them.

Peachy Chicken

Reviewed: Mar. 18, 2010
Oh my goodness... DELICIOUS!!!! We all loved it! Followed it to the T and it was soooo good. Wasn't crazy about the peaches but it would be just as delish without them. Maybe other fruits will be yummy with it. Mango or something. Will use again with other meats too as a dressing.

Classic Creamy Coleslaw

Reviewed: Nov. 20, 2010
Tastes just like KFC! Loved it! Made about a dozen times and everyone requests it for get togethers. I have made this also with light mayo and artificial sweetener like Splenda and almost as yummy for diabetics but for myselft I love just the way it is provided.

Buttermilk Pancakes I

Reviewed: Dec. 10, 2010
These were pretty darn good. They aren't too fluffy but they do kinda melt in your mouth. I put a little vanilla but still tasted like it was missing something maybe a pinch of salt would have been okay but definately will make again with a pinch of like cinnamon or something.

Butter Flaky Pie Crust

Reviewed: Jan. 18, 2011
DIVINE DIVINE DIVINE!!!!!!! TEN STARS! It was my first time making crust and it was super fantastic! I used frozen butter that I grated quickly and just blended it with the flour hardly touched it. Used ice cold water and barely blended it all together when I plopped it into the wrap to leave it over night about 5 hours. THen I just rolled it out tossed it into baking sheet, threw on some apple pie filling, threw another crust on top poked with fork all over closed edges, made too much glaze so bushed it and I drizzled it with the glaze and...HEAVEN!

Waffles I

Reviewed: Feb. 16, 2011
Actually not bad. Thought it was too much oil at first but they are pretty good. Crisp on outside soft on the inside. I made no modifications to this recipe, followed it as written.** Update: DELICIOUS! I think I had under cooked them before but it took mine about 5 min to fully cook. Also, just as good with whole wheat flour.

I liked it :-) I only had two bananas and margarine but worked out just fine. Barely mixed it which always makes a difference. I saved it to my recipes :-9

Lighter Banana Muffins

Reviewed: Sep. 17, 2009
My kids really like these I just got done making them. They are a little bit rubber like but still good. Didn't have applesauce but did add a splash of apple juice. Will add walnuts next time though. Pretty good though.
