Boilermaker Tailgate Chili

Reviewed: May 30, 2007
This is a really really good chili recipe. Its got a nice kick to it and has to be toned down for anyone that doesnt like spice, but the fresh veggies give this chili a very nice crunch and taste. Also not at all soupy... a real man's chili.

Cajun Chicken Pasta

Reviewed: Oct. 18, 2006
Wow. Just wow. I had a lot of things I wanted to tweak with this recipe, but I always follow the rules the first time (or so I try) so that my rating is based on the recipe and not my whim. And wow. This recipe is amazing. I've now made it 5 times (in three weeks) and my family and extended family rave about it. The base recipe is awesome, but (you knew that was coming right?) I have found that buying a bag of frozen popcorn shrimp and scallops and throwing a handfull of each into each batch makes it SOOOOO much better. I personally like spicy food and this just doens't have much of a kick. I add white pepper and crushed red to my portions. My kids rave about this recipe as-is. My wife and mother immediately declared this my best recipe. Seriously folks... try it. /salute from the Weasel

Cajun Seafood Pasta

Reviewed: Sep. 10, 2006
Very easy and very tasty recipie. Fair warning... its got a great kick to it. For me this was awesome... for my kids... not so much. Second and third time I made it I toned it down. The white pepper being the most important.

Pico de Gallo Chicken Quesadillas

Reviewed: Oct. 4, 2004
Great recipie. My wife has asked for it over and over. Kids also really like it. Edit: Coming up on three years ago that I first made this recipe. Still make it once every couple of weeks. A couple tips I've learned... first, for the pico dice your ingredients small it really helps with the flavor. I also add salt. Also with the pico I tend to strain the tomatoes if they are juicy. I don't like the pico too mushy. On the grilling... I always keep a small bowl of oil on the side and coat the outsides of the quesadillas with oil as I fry. It makes things a little easier. To flip I just use a big spatula and get most of the tortilla on it then using my hand I tuck the far end of the tortilla over (since thats where the stuff always falls out) and then flip onto the tucked part. I sometimes use cheddar mixed with the monterey jack as well. This is an absolutely great recipe. A life-time keeper for my family.

Shiitake Scallopine

Reviewed: Sep. 20, 2004
This recipie is really very good. The first time I made it I failed to drain the artichokes... my goodness... don't make that mistake. I've now made it about a dozen times and it is easily my wife's favorite recipe from Allrecipies. Very distinct flavor.

Easy Beef Strogonoff

This was an extremely simple recipie that everyone enjoyed. Not the best Strogonoff ever, but still very good and the ease more than makes up for it.

Fig and Lemon Chicken

Reviewed: Jun. 7, 2002
I was not impressed by this recipie. I love sweet and sour style dishes as well as chicken. This recipie had a very unpleasant taste to it. Also, the sauce was too runy to really eat with rice or noodles. My father said it best, "it's ok for something different, but I wouldn't get it again."

Chicken Breasts Pierre

Reviewed: Jun. 3, 2002
I try new recipes often, and this recipe is by far my favorite to have picked up from the net. It's really easy and my wife and kids love it. I typically leave out the hot sauce for the kids and use diced instead of stewed tomatoes for chunkyness... but anyone looking for an excellent, different chicken recipe really needs to grab this one. -Weasel

Apple Fritters I

Reviewed: Jun. 3, 2002
Well... put me, my frydaddy, my 4 old, and my 2 year old against this recipe and we all came out alive, that says alot. It was really easy, but took a while with my smaller frydaddy (only 3 dnuts at a time). Other than that it's a wonderful recipe, kids love it! Thanks Pat!
