Bacon Cheddar Deviled Eggs

Reviewed: Dec. 11, 2009
best deviled eggs I have tasted in a long while. I've tried different recipes, but my family complained about how salty they always were. They believed it to be either because there were too much cheese or too much bacon, both which contributed to the salty taste. This recipe balances the taste, perhaps because there's a little more mayo...? *shrugs* I don't really care because it tastes GREAT. Thanks for the recipe!

Chewy Peanut Butter Chocolate Chip Cookies

Reviewed: Nov. 16, 2009
I usually follow the direct recipe written by the submitter to appreciate their style of baking/cooking... these cookies were fantastic. I personally wouldn't say they're addictive, but very very good! I can't help but think of how much calories must be in these cookies because they're made so much like the ones that sell at the store and I've never added corn syrup to any chocolate chip cookies I've made before, but it's probably required for cookies with peanut butter in it I'm guessing... Overall, these cookies are fantastic in taste and texture. I couldn't believe how soft they turned out even after a day passed and they were all cooled off. My sister really enjoys them and I plan to make more in the future! Thanks for sharing this recipe with us!

German Apple Cake I

Reviewed: Oct. 14, 2009
I followed the recipe exactly and I have to say I couldn't stop eating it. The surface of the cake (I baked mine in a 9x13) turned out really rough and crusty unlike most of the photos (I baked my cake 25 degrees F lower and 5-10 minutes less than the original recipe and the toothpick came out clean), but it was good still. Frosting is not needed since the 2 cups of sugar really sweetens this cake. My mother wasn't the biggest fan of this cake, but my sister and father couldn't stop eating it also and it was gone the day after I baked it! Thank you for the great recipe! Will most likely make again sometime!

Hasty Chocolate Pudding

Reviewed: Oct. 14, 2009
This was the perfect desert I was looking for, chocolate pudding. Easy recipe and few ingredients. My only mistake was to not look after the bowl inside the microwave after the 3min heating. I WAS mixing every 1min, but after the 3rd minute (total 6mins in the microwave), it exploded. I scooped up most of it and everything was fine afterwards. I was wondering if I should leave the butter out, but I decided to follow the crowd and add a tablespoon maybe a bit less into the bowl and it came out more creamy and soft. The end was just perfect for me, I just wished that I made more while I had the ingredients out so I won't have to take them out again real soon. My sister personally thought it wasn't sweet enough, but I thought the sweetness was perfect. Thank you for sharing this recipe!!! Definite 5 Star.

Delicious Ham and Potato Soup

Reviewed: Oct. 11, 2009
This recipe is excellent! My family all loved it very much. It's a good soup for especially breakfast and dinner as winter draws near. I added just a tad bit more onions and ham to mine so that there would be no leftover ingredients and for a second I was worried because I thought I may have overcooked the potatoes (lost track of time), but I just switched the heat to low until I finished with the saucepan mixture and served it hot with rice and bacon for dinner. Next time I will add corn and possibly peas to the soup for sure! Definite must, this soup is fantastic! Thank you, ELLIE11!

Brooke's Best Bombshell Brownies

Reviewed: Oct. 9, 2009
**I followed the recipe exactly with one small adjustment below :) turned out 10/10 and my family loved it as well.** I was honestly really nervous because I thought that the brownie was going to turn out really dry because when I added the flour mixture into the chocolate mixture (and mixed it well), the batter was really thick so I decided to add about 1 TS (perhaps a tiny bit more) of milk which really softened the batter and the outcome was fantastic. the top of the brownies have a thin crisp and the color of the brownies are beautiful, light brown and darker brown swirling together. The taste was really sweet, but not to the point that my throat started hurting, it was pretty much perfect for a sweet snack and I can't help but suggest MILK with this, haha, it is excellent, thank you for the recipe BROOKE! (Very moist as well. I forgot to pour the cocoa powder through a strainer so there might have been tiny clumps when I put the batter into the oven and it still came out amazing!)

Cinnamon Griddle Cakes

Reviewed: Sep. 28, 2009
Like many others, I added in just over a table spoon of milk instead of corn syrup and it came out perfectly. The only modification I made was the icing. When I combined the 2 cups of confectioners' sugar, 2 ts of vanilla ex., and 1 TS of milk, I did not get a liquid product. I got clumps of flour-looking dry powder still, so I decided to add 2-3 table spoons (total) of milk into the icing mixture and it turned out Perfect! I didn't serve right away when hot because I was busy making other side dishes, but when I came back to the table, the icing hardened and turned into glaze like on a donut, yum!! Thank you for sharing this recipe with us! Served best with milk!

Carrot Cake III

Reviewed: Sep. 28, 2009
I decided to stick with the original recipe and directions. It came out Incredible. I'm amazed and grateful for the recipe, thank you!! I baked mine at 330ish degrees and was able to insert and pull out a clean toothpick after 32 minutes of baking. the carrot cake itself is nice and sweet and although the frosting may be a little too sweet for me, I just putted a light coating so that it was just right. Thank you very much for the recipe I will make it again and again!

Banana Crumb Muffins

Reviewed: Sep. 27, 2009
these were pretty good. I followed the ingredients and directions exactly and I probably should've mixed my dry mixtures a little more because some parts of my muffin came out a little more salty than other parts, but that's my bad. i really like the topping which gave the soft muffins a bit of a crisp and sweetness. the muffin itself was a bit plain to my taste, but the topping made up for it. I personally like drinking milk with this, very delish, thank you for sharing this recipe with us!

Sour Cream Apple Pie Deluxe

Reviewed: Sep. 18, 2009
Not only was it incredibly easy to make, it was perfect in terms of taste and ingredients that were needed because we had a whole container full of sour cream that we needed to use and it worked out thanks to this recipe. We also had fresh apples to bake this with! I can't believe there was such perfect recipe, thank you!! Definitely going to make again. I really enjoyed the simple, yet flavor-and-sweetness-bursting flavor in the topping. The sweetness was perfect, the texture was great combining the sweet crumbles of toppings with the moist fresh apple innings, and overall, it's an A++ recipe! Thanks for sharing it with us!
