Traditional Lemon Meringue Pie

Reviewed: Jan. 1, 2012
I have to say this was one darn good pie. Everyone loved it. However, the only down side was the Meringue, which is why it got 4.5 stars instead of 5. Next time I would use 4 egg whites for the Meringue. Other than that wouldn't change anything with this recipe.

Old Fashioned Coconut Cream Pie

Reviewed: Nov. 26, 2011
4.5 really. This was a great recipe. I as well did the changes others had recommended 1 1/2 C each of Coconut Milk and Half/Half. Then I also did 1/3 C each of Cornstarch and Flour. Everyone loved this recipe. I did not do a merginue frosting but rather a whipped frosting. This pie is already being requested for the upcoming Christmas dinner at our house.

Pumpkin Turkey Chili

This was awesome. However, based on other comments, I did make some changes. I added 1 can of Ro-tel tomatoe's. This helps to give it some added kick and spice Also added the following: 1 can of vegetable broth 2 Bay leaves 1 tsp of oregano

Super-Delicious Zuppa Toscana

I modified the recipe just a little. Used spicy sausage as our family likes a little more kick. Then just added some more potatoes and broth. It is very, very good. In fact, I'm making this soup tonight for family and friends.

Cranberry Nut Bread II

This recipe was fantastic!!! I compared against the recipe on the Cranberry bag and the difference is this one uses Butter. As I live in Northern CA and right now Mandarins are in season this is what I used. I am going to make another batch tomorrow and freeze to serve at Christmas.

Hamburger Soup

Reviewed: Oct. 6, 2009
This is a great recipe. A couple of changes I made were, using 2 cans of Tomato Sauce, 1 can of tomato paste, adding cabbage (a mix of Savoy and Regular Green Cabbage) and then adding a can of Ro-tel Original. I used the Ro-tel in place of the hot sauce and it worked well. I always like to make extra so it has worked well so now I will freeze the rest for future use. But the feeback was good. Enjoyed with a couple of slices of Dutch Crunch Bread and a nice Pinot Noir.

Chocolate Zucchini Bread II

Reviewed: Sep. 15, 2009
Love this recipe. I searched around and liked this one the best. I used this recipe and it made about 6 of the mini loafs. One word of caution, don't fill up to the top because it rises pretty high. Defintely will make more.
