About this Cook
I love my Catholic faith in God, my family+friends, my Country.
My favorite things to cook
I love to make bread, pastries, cookies. I love to cook venison in any and all ways.
My favorite family cooking traditions
Polish breads and polish meals planning
My cooking triumphs
I just love to make fudge+ cakes. I make almost all of our bread and rolls, even hot dog and hamburg rolls. I love sweet rolls, Polish breads and trying new recipes for pastries and all sweets. I'm not great with pies, but my 'honey' says I'm getting better.
My cooking tragedies
The first morning home from our honey moon I made Ron the same breakfast that my Dad used to request "Milk Toast". It was a poached egg on bread that had been toasted with hot milk and butter poured over it. When he sat down, he asked where did I get the idea for "this". I told him proudly that my Dad asked for it ofter. His response was "Honey, I have teeth" That was 41 yr ago. I've improved just a little!

Mom's Favorite Baked Mac and Cheese
We really enjoyed this mac and cheese. I use spicy brown mustard and my honey always likes broccoli and ham in it too. Quick and to the point!

Crispy Baked French Toast
I didn't have the bread crumbs that were called for, so I used my white bread crumbs. They worked great, nice and crunchy.

Egg Sandwich
We use empty Smart Balance containers to cook the egg in the microwave. When the butter substitute is down to just a little around the edges, crack the egg, or 2, a tiny splash of milk, scramble. Bake in microwave for 1-2 +- minutes steering once in middle of cooking time. When finished, place cheese on top and cover with container cover, waiting a minute or so, the cheese melts quickly. Then remove cover, place toast on top turn over quickly. The egg falls right out on the toast, centered on the toast, cheese melted and ready to eat. If you need to use the container again, spread a little smart balance around in the container and use again.
