Corn Bread Sloppy Joes

THIS IS GREAT!! I don't know why there are not more reviews for this recipe as it is VERY EASY AND VERY GOOD! I used Marie Calender's cornbread mix (where all you add is water) and just sprinkled the cheese on top for those who wanted it. Could definitely use ground turkey for a healthier version with no sacrifice in flavor.

Brooklyn Girl's Penne Arrabiata

Broccoli Salad

This salad was great with a few modifications. First blanch the broccoli. Second double the dressing and use real mayonnaise (it's only a couple of tablespoons for Pete's sake!) and Third ADD BACON.

I'll admit that I did not follow the recipe exactly. I added garlic and sour cream to the mix (as recommended) and yet it just wasn't as tasty as I had hoped. It had the heat but not the flavor.

Shepherd's Pie

I also added garlic and onion to the mix, as well as fresh mushrooms (not canned) and frozen veggies. Easy and pretty tasty, however I feel it's lacking something. Will probably make again but will be in search of that needed spice.

Chocolate Dipped Orange Biscotti

Made these cookies for Christmas and they were excellent! My 3 year old was so proud that she helped mommy make them, she made sure everyone was given a cookie as soon as they walked thru the door.
