Sweet Rice and Mango

Reviewed: Jan. 25, 2011
I LOVED this recipe! I did use brown sugar because I ran out of white. I served it as dessert after salmon burgers, and it was the talk of the table.

Sherry's German Turkey

Reviewed: Dec. 20, 2011
My roommate and I made this, with an addition of spices between the skin and meat, and a substitution of lemon for orange. We cooked it under a foil tent because we didn't have a bag. It came out amazing. The meat fell of the bone, it is delectable and juicy. I didn't intend to change the recipe, really, I just didn't have an orange and Steve Reichlen recommends the spices under the skin.

Spicy Honey-Roasted Chicken

Reviewed: Apr. 10, 2012
I made this for my Passover dinner and it was a huge hit. I did baste it quite a bit with the butter, and add chopped apple to the cavity, but other than that I followed the recipe and had a beautiful result. It was moist, tender, and had an amazing flavor. Will make again.

Quick and Easy Pizza Crust

Reviewed: Apr. 10, 2012
I really liked this recipe. I added basil to it for flavor and aroma. I found that it was a bit thin, but I did roll it out pretty thin. My result was an aromatic, crispy crust that was chewy around the edges. Highly edible!

Sheryl's Baked Potatoes

Try serving with plain yogurt for moisture and zing, instead of sourcream. This is helpful and healthy if your spuds got too dry.

Pupusas de Queso (Cheese-Stuffed Tortillas)

Reviewed: Mar. 25, 2012
So, I don't think I did it right, maybe didn't use enough cheese or something.... My first attempt after allowing the dough to rest yielded something that could not be rolled at all, and quickly fell apart, so I added water till the recipe was workable. Then, I spread a layer of cheese on the bottom half, then rolled another to put on top...my result was a lot of masa flavor that really just made me think I was eating like a cornmeal porridge or hard tack. I might be a cow boy, but come on. And based on other reviews, it sounds like it's actually pretty good, I must have done something wrong.

Oil Pie Crust

Reviewed: Aug. 28, 2012
I don't know if I did something wrong, or what, but I ended up with a gooey soft crawling dough. The end product is kinda nice, but this is not what I'd call pie crust. It's more like a potsticker dough.
