About this Cook
Mother of 2. I get to be home with them since they are little. I used to work LONG hours in the medical feild and am glad to be home instead with my little ones. I also get to cook to my hearts content and keep it healthy. Until 3 yrs ago I HATED cooking/baking or anything related to it. It seems I didnt have patience for it before my 1st little guy came along. Now I love it because of him. It's amazing how having kids can change one's perspective.
My favorite things to cook
I love to cook Indian/Pakistani food. So healthy and delicious. Plus hispanic foods and pastries are a must for me, since I am half hispanic.
My cooking triumphs
Baking triumph is decorating cakes. I want to try a wedding cake. I do lots of kids cakes but nothing fancier than that... someday I will do a wedding cake that wont look commical.
My cooking tragedies
hmm too many but recently I was trying to make double chocolate chunk cookies (a recipe I got from an amish cook book). I thought I got the cannister full of sugar but instead it was our cannister of salt. I kept thinking as I was creaming the ingredients together that "this stuff is really getting fluffy" should have known something was wrong then but didnt. I tasted the finished cookie batter... hehe didnt turn out AT ALL! I did invest in a label maker to avoid that problem ever again.

Elephant Ears
Nothing like an elephant ear. It's more like a cookie. I followed the recipe exactly and it looked nothing like the picture. It was more like a cookie. Wish I would have read the reviews first.

Strawberry Pretzel Salad
This was super delicious. It was a little hard to spread the cream cheese over the pretzels. Made it work and it was worth it.

Yummy yumm yum! I love this recipe. Suprised hubby with it. He is from Pakistan. (and me I am a white girl from the midwest.) This is easy to follow. Only difference I made was cut down on the chilies. I only used one.. otherwise..OUCH! So Delicious!!
