Slow Cooker Pot Roast

Reviewed: Dec. 6, 2011
Best pot roast I've ever made! I followed the recipe with a couple of exceptions suggested by other reviewers: used 1 cup instead of 1/2 cup water, sprinkled some Worcestershire sauce on the meat, and did not salt the meat since there is so much salt in this recipe already. Came out fantastic! Boyfriend was impressed, and so was I!

A Good Easy Garlic Chicken

Not bad, but not spectacular either by any means. It came out good, but we weren't very impressed with it.

Busy Day Barbeque Brisket

Reviewed: Aug. 14, 2011
This came out awesome! I followed the recipe exactly as is, although my cut of brisket was closer to two pounds (I made the full amount of rub, but didn't quite use all of it - I did still use the full amount of sauce). Boyfriend LOVED it, we were both pretty impressed with my first attempt. I'd never had brisket before and wasn't sure what to expect, but this was delish! Edit: This also made awesome sandwiches the next day - I just shredded the meat, warmed it up and had it on bulkie rolls.

Marinated Baked Pork Chops

Reviewed: Jun. 11, 2011
I marinated these overnight, and they came out great. I replaced the ketchup with Sweet Baby Ray's BBQ, since BF isn't a ketchup fan. Cut the veggie oil in half, & also added vinegar, garlic powder, & paprika as recommended by another reviewer.

Chicken Biscuit Pie

Reviewed: Jun. 5, 2011
Delicious! I didn't change anything about the recipe beyond following KitchenWitch's advice, and used margarine instead of shortening, as well as unsalted butter - also, no onion, just because I didn't have any. Boyfriend was a HUGE fan, almost looking forward to winter so I can make this on a chilly Sunday!

Vegetable Soup I

Reviewed: Jun. 5, 2011
A decent, easy to make veggie soup. I adjust the veggies a bit depending on what we're in the mood for, and it's very tomato-y, but good.

Oregano Chicken

Reviewed: Jun. 5, 2011
This came out great! After making it a few times, I hit on a few adjustments that we like. First, I use margarine instead of butter, add 3 tablespoons instead of 2 of the Worcestershire, and in addition to the garlic powder I add a crushed clove of it. Comes out great!

Slow Cooker Beef Stew I

Reviewed: Jan. 29, 2011
This came out great! I followed the recipe exactly (minus the celery - not a fan!) and it came out perfect. I'll definitely be making this one again, way better than my old beef stew recipe.

Grilled Delmonico Steaks

Reviewed: Jul. 10, 2010
These were amazing! I followed other reviewers' advise and left out the salt - I'm glad I did, they were still a little on the salty side. Made this with rib-eye steaks as well, and marinated for two nights. Tender and delicious!

Debdoozie's Blue Ribbon Chili

Reviewed: Oct. 29, 2009
Delicious chili! I did change a few things to go with what I had - cut it in half as well. Instead of garlic salt added a finely chopped garlic clove, and instead of adding 1/2 and 1/2 for beans, I just used a can of light red. Probably added twice as much salsa as is called for, and a bit more of the chili seasoning too. I like it spicy, and boyfriend doesn't so I added some Red Hot to my bowl as well :) This came out great, will definitely be a new staple! Leftovers were great for chili dogs the next day!

These came out great! I cut recipe in half, and I also rolled the scallops around in the butter first to coat them. Sooo good!

Autumn Beef Stew

Reviewed: Oct. 16, 2009
I cut the recipe in half (there's only 2 of us!), and added a can of beef broth - without it, I don't think it would have been very stew-like at all, as others have said. I also sprinkled a little garlic powder on the beef before I browned it.
