Red Skinned Potato Salad

Reviewed: Jul. 1, 2012
This was pretty good. It's really nice looking in the bowl, but there is something missing for the flavor. It was a bit too mild for my taste. I may add some sour cream or something next time.

Greek Pasta Salad I

Reviewed: Jul. 1, 2012
I made this exactly as written, no changes. It's a great pasta salad recipe, I've been looking for a great vinegar based salad forever now, and I am so glad I finally found one. I did not have a problem with the vinegar being too strong, I thought everything was just right. Don't leave out the feta, its a great touch.

Aunt Teen's Creamy Chocolate Fudge

Reviewed: Jun. 2, 2011
This recipe is great! This was the first time I've ever made fudge so I was nervous about messing up, but it turned out great. If your a newbie like me I only suggest you take her seriously when she says 'large' saucepan. I used a medium sized one not expecting the marshmallow to expand so much, leaving me with a sticky mess to clean up. Still tasted great though.

Rachael's Superheated Cajun Boiled Peanuts

Reviewed: May 25, 2011
These were really great! I followed the recipe to a T, and even my husband who didnt previously like boiled peanuts liked these. They were not super hot, but had a wonderful spicy/cajun flavor. I ended up letting them cook 26 hours, but the extra time didnt hurt them.

All I have to say is this is absolutely the BEST SALMON ever! I baked it instead of grilling and it still turned out amazing! My husband and I were just drooling smelling it cooking!

Blueberry Pie

Reviewed: May 18, 2010
I made only a few slight changes, and I really love the results. I added an additional tbs of cornstarch per other reviewers. I used frozen blueberries instead of fresh (tasted just fine too). I also brushed the shell with egg white and baked the bottom one for 5 minutes and sprinkled sugar on the top shell. My husband normally doesnt like fruit pies, but he loved this one. Great recipe!

Mrs. Fields Sugar Cookies

Reviewed: Dec. 15, 2009
Ok people, the KEY to this recipe is use REAL BUTTER. Do NOT use margarine! If you use margarine your dough will be sticky and gooey! Real butter will firm up again after you chill the dough in the fridge for an hour. You must chill the dough if you want to cut out your shapes. These cookies taste amazing though, and they are so easy. Just make sure you follow the directions.

Chicken Pot Pie IX

Reviewed: Nov. 5, 2009
Seriously, probably the best thing I ever cooked. This is a WONDERFUL recipe. I followed other's advice and upped the sauce a little, probably by 1/2. I also just used a cup of frozen mixed vegetables instead of just peas. I added a bouillion cube to the veggies while they were boiling. I used the Pillsbury ready -made pie crusts and brushed the bottom with egg white and baked for 5 minutes before I added the filling- I also brushed the top with egg white. I also lowered the temp to 375 and baked for 40 minutes. After 30min the top looked like it was browning a bit too much so I covered with foil. In the end, it looked great, and tasted AMAZING. I certainly will be making this again- despite the long prep time.

Sugar Cookie Icing

Reviewed: Nov. 4, 2009
The recipe was a little too thick to begin with, I had to add a couple extra teaspoons of milk in order to achieve the correct consistency. Once that was done however, the icing came out beautiful. My Husband LOVED the icing, I wasnt too crazy about the almond extract taste though. I will definitely be making it again though, it made my cookies look great!

Chicken Marsala

Reviewed: Oct. 27, 2009
I give the recipe 4 stars as is/ 5 stars with some tweaking. The first time I made it exactly as written..it was pretty good. The 2nd time it was AWESOME :) The changes I made: I added fresh chopped garlic and green onions to the oil to brown before I added the chicken. I doubled the sauce and added a cornstarch slurry to thicken the sauce some. SOOO Yummy, I plan on making this dinner for company next time I have people over.
