Deeelicious! Very little aftertaste... great texture and presetation. The tart frosting is a wonderful and tangy surprise. Fun to eat!

Spanish Flan

Reviewed: Jun. 29, 2006
The flan itself: not so good... but the sauce was okay. Maybe a little more sweetner would help.

I'm not a big fan of Cream Puffs in general... sugared or otherwise... but these tasted great.

Chilled Cherry Soup

Reviewed: Jun. 22, 2006
Yummers! Not sure I'd serve it as a soup... but as a "fruity yogurt" beverage it rocks! Splenda + yogurt + fruit make a good combo.

Fluffy Carrot Souffle

Okay.... so it collapsed a few minutes out of the oven... nobody's perfect. Taste-wise: Absolutely yummy... with hardly an aftertaste. Would make again.

Banana Bars with Cream Cheese Frosting

Reviewed: Jun. 20, 2006
I wish I could rate the cake and the frosting seperately. Great cake (4/5) frosting (2/5). Overall 3/5. I think the problem here is that the cream cheese lengthens the sensation of sweetness... which unfortunately highlights the lingering Splenda aftertaste.

This one is a winner! The tartness of the cranberries combines extremely well with Splenda sweetner.

Queijadas

Reviewed: Feb. 1, 2005
OH MY GOD. I love these. Whenever Scotty makes em for us here at the office, I just can't help myself... I like mine served warm with fresh sliced strwberries on top. Seriously deeeeelicious! Note: Be careful not to overcook em. WARNING: These are not really "cakes"... more like a crispy shelled baked custard.

Cranberry Pistachio Biscotti

Reviewed: Dec. 17, 2001
By gads! This is the very =best= biscotti recipe! Usually I can't stand those nasty little bricks, but these are delicious! Try these even if you usually don't like biscotti... m-m-m-m yummy. HINT: Use a regular knife to cut these... the serrated blade makes a big mess.

Apple Crumble Tart

Yummmeeee! The puff pastry crust makes it delicate and crumbly...mmmmmmm....and don't forget the marsala sauce. I had 3 servings. Shame on me.
