Lemon-Tarragon Pork Chops

This was a very easy recipe and I enjoyed the flavor combination. Great fresh taste for summer grilling! It was a crowd pleaser... And my crowd includes two picky boys! Thanks for sharing!

Colleen's Slow Cooker Jambalaya

I followed the recipe with few exceptions. I used chipotle seasoned diced tomatoes, (I used two 14.5 oz cans; one I added juice and all, the other I drained most of the juice before adding tomatoes) and a mixture of frozen red, green, and yellow bell peppers. I also added one clove of diced garlic. It turned out great and I served it over Basmati rice. My husband is usually not a fan of crock pot meals and this was the first one he has ever enjoyed!

Slow Cooker Ham and Bean Stew

I really liked this recipe and it was super easy. Before putting all the ingredients into the slow cooker, I sauteed the onion and about 1 tsp of minced garlic until the onions were transparent, then I added finely chopped celery. I also added chili powder, cumin, and chipotle chili powder to taste.

Southwestern Turkey Soup

I gave this recipe 4 stars because I did not follow it exactly. I made a few changes, but it turned out great! It was a great way to use leftover turkey from Thanksgiving! I added 1 can of pinto beans, 1 can shoe peg corn. I sauteed the onion with 3 cloves of garlic in EVOO until tender, then I added the broth, beans, roma tomatoes, and corn. I used most of the canned whole tomatoes, but I pureed it before adding it to the soup. I added a little more than 1/2 tsp of cumin and I also added a little bit of chili powder to taste. I also used fresh cilantro as opposed to dried. I did not add the avocado. I served the soup with sour cream, shredded monterey jack and cheddar cheese, and tortilla chips to crumble on the top. I also made corn bread to serve with the soup. It was really yummy and it had quite a kick to it!

Southern Fried Green Beans

Super easy recipe and tastes great! The first time I made it, I followed the recipe exactly. The second time, I did not add the recommended amount of sugar right away, then added to taste, and I found a happy medium!

Sweet Potato Casserole I

I made this for Thanksgiving and substituted the milk and butter with pareve margerine and Silk soy milk to accommodate for my dairy allergy. It took a little longer than 35 minutes to set up, but it tasted great and everyone enjoyed it!
