The first time I made this, I baked the cornbread in the same cast iron skillet I mixed the ingredients in, but it didn't quite turn out right. The second time I followed the instructions and baked it in a separate pan and it turned out awesome! Not sure why there is a difference, but there was. This is a moist, sweet cornbread - just to my liking! Edited to say that the 3rd time I made this, I added 1 cup of creamed corn - YUM! Made it only slightly more moist. . . could've used some diced jalepenos or green chiles!
