Rob's Screaming Stuffed Jalapeno Peppers

Reviewed: Jul. 18, 2009
I initially thought basil and sundried tomatoes were an odd combination for jalapenos, but these were excellent! I used oil-packed sundried tomatoes that I rinsed and added a clove of garlic. These were so tasty. . . I shared them with a friend who made them the next night for a get-together and they were a hit!

Sweet Green Bean Bundles

Reviewed: Jun. 25, 2009
Love these (they're in the oven as I type)! I add 1/4 cup worchestershire, 2 tsp soy sauce and 1 clove garlic. Have used fresh and frozen green beans and both works out wonderfully. Have shared this recipe with several friends.

Cha Cha's White Chicken Chili

Reviewed: Jun. 19, 2009
Awesome! I've made this so many times and have shared the recipe as well. Very simple to make. I usually don't add any chilis (of any variety) or cayenne pepper for my children's benefit, but I do add them to my own bowl.

Grandmother's Buttermilk Cornbread

Reviewed: Jan. 27, 2009
The first time I made this, I baked the cornbread in the same cast iron skillet I mixed the ingredients in, but it didn't quite turn out right. The second time I followed the instructions and baked it in a separate pan and it turned out awesome! Not sure why there is a difference, but there was. This is a moist, sweet cornbread - just to my liking! Edited to say that the 3rd time I made this, I added 1 cup of creamed corn - YUM! Made it only slightly more moist. . . could've used some diced jalepenos or green chiles!

Sausage Casserole

Reviewed: Nov. 23, 2008
This was very good and was a hit at the gathering I brought it to. I was hesitant about making it due to the cottage cheese, but thought I'd trust the other viewers and truly, never noticed that it was an ingredient. As with some of the other ratings, I cooked the thawed potatoes (I used a 32 oz pkg of OreIda shredded hashbrowns) in a skillet with a bit of olive oil, not enough to brown them, but just to cook/soften them a bit. Since I used the whole package of potatoes, I added an extra egg and next time will probably add 2 extra eggs in total and as well as some additional sharp cheddar cheese. We served this with a variety of hot sauces.

Nutty Pumpkin Waffles

Reviewed: Nov. 17, 2008
These had good flavor and consistency and even my sons age 8 & 3 liked them(some waffles are too dense or not dense enough). I used 50% more of each of the spiced.

Sarah's Applesauce

Reviewed: Oct. 7, 2008
YUM! I love when something so simple tastes so great! I used 6 small apples (not sure of the kind - they were from a farmstand) and increased the cinnamon to 1 tsp. My kids love this applesauce!

Self-Filled Cupcakes I

Reviewed: Oct. 7, 2008
This recipe was disappointing in my opinion. I was expecting more flavor from the cream cheese filling. Tasted like a box cake mix with a little something extra inside. It wasn't bad, just not what I expected. Followed the recipe exactly as described.

Best Chocolate Chip Cookies

Reviewed: Aug. 1, 2008
With such high ratings, I was expecting these to be a lot better, but I think I prefer the Nestle Toll House recipe to this (and that's not saying much). I even re-read the recipe after making them to be sure I didn't miss anything. Just not my taste.

Broiled Tilapia Parmesan

Reviewed: Feb. 18, 2008
This is a family favorite in our house. I've made it so many times - impossible to count how many! I find it's easier to add the parmesan cheese AFTER mixing the mayo, butter, lemon juice and seasonings, but that may be my preference. We use light Mayo and it works out fine. Delicious!

Clone of a Cinnabon

These are so easy and so good! I've made them twice in a week and have shared them with two friends and both have asked for the recipe. There's no better compliment than that!

Buffalo Chicken Dip

Reviewed: Feb. 3, 2007
This is absolutely delish! And easy! I prefer to use a rotisserie chicken or boil/shred chicken breasts rather than canned chicken and also use low-fat or fat free ingredients (I sprinkle cheddar on top only). This is a highly-requested recipe!

Southwestern Grilled Chicken with Lime Butter

Reviewed: May 25, 2006
For as many seasonings as this had, I was disappointed that it didn't have more flavor. It was good, but I don't see myself searching for the recipe to make again. The cilantro lime butter was good. We also put this on corn, but I think it would be equally good on other vegetables.

To Die For Blueberry Muffins

Reviewed: May 25, 2006
These are so easy and so delicious. My husband's office has even requested that I make these to send and since they're so simple to make, it's fun to delight them with these muffins for breakfast. I do find the quantity of the topping to be too much, so half the quantity of ingredients.

Hawaiian Punch Slush for Adults

Reviewed: May 25, 2006
WOW!!! I made this for my Bunko group of 16 women and thankfully made three batches - it went quickly! Based on the reviews, I prepared the first batch two nights in advance to make sure it would be slushy, which it was in under 24 hours. After tasting how good it was, I decided I needed to make more. The second batch, I eliminated one can of the cream of coconut and put in just a little less vodka to compensate. This batch tasted just as good as the first. By the time I made the third batch, I was out of vodka and used regular Bacardi rum and I think this might have been my favorite. We used ginger ale, Sprite Zero and regular Sprite and they all tasted good. Several people asked for the recipe. This is something I will keep in the freezer to enjoy throughout the hot southern spring and summer months! I can also see children enjoying this in a non-alcoholic version - it's very refreshing.

Sweet Potato Casserole II

Reviewed: Feb. 9, 2004
This is a wonderful recipe! My husband, who rarely ate sweet potatoes previously, and then only when they were baked like a regular potato, surprised me by asking me to make this when we were hosting a dinner for his business associates - and they loved it too. My 3 yr old son cannot get enough of this dish. The topping is very sweet and the almost reminds me of the topping on apple struedel. YUM!

New Orleans Jambalaya

Reviewed: Aug. 14, 2001
This jambalaya is absolutely delicious. It's so good that I called my husband at work to get him excited for dinner. I can't wait to share this with a friend who is from N'Awlins! This recipe would be more kid-friendly if it weren't spicy.
