Very delicious. A definite homerun. This recipe is sure to be a real 'family pleaser' and 'crowd pleaser'. We enjoyed them very much...the taste was divine. Thanks for sharing this recipe, Cindy.

Holiday Dressing

Very delicious and moist. Instead of using slices of bread, I crumbled 2 cups of Pepperidge Farm bread stuffing into the mixture instead, and next time I'll cut the sage down by half the suggested amount. But overall, this is a tasty and good recipe. Will keep and will make again!

Salisbury Steak

Tender & Delicious! I, too, made alterations to the gravy recipe for a more traditional taste. I omitted the worchestershire sauce and added the drippings from the ground beef instead. Plus additional water & seasonings to taste. This is a recipe that will stand the test of time.

Cheesy Creamed Spinach Casserole

Reviewed: Sep. 22, 2001
Pretty good with some changes. After reading the previous reviews I made the following changes to the recipe in order to give it a more 'dinner-time' flair: (1) used 1 1/2 cup of sour cream instead of 2 cups; (2) Added 1/4 tsp ground pepper; (3) 1/4 cup milk for additional creaminess; (5) crumbled 4 slices of cooked bacon into the recipe; (6) Sprinkled the top with fried onions and light amount of shredded cheese. The previous reviewers are right about an entire packet of onion soup mix giving this dish a little too much saltiness or onion flavor. But all in all a good recipe base from which to build to your liking.

Aunt Millie's Broccoli Casserole

Great recipe. However, next time I'll lightly sprinkle bread crumbs or crushed club crackers for the topping instead of the Pepperidge Farm stuffing as suggested by others...This recipe is great without all the extras.

Spinach Quiche

Reviewed: Nov. 1, 2001
What a great recipe!!! I decided to use 2 tablespoons of butter due to the comments made by previous reviewers, as well as omitting the shredded cheddar on top of the quiche, and it came out perfectly. The cheddar inside the quiche was enough for my family. Also for those of you, like myself, who refuse to season to taste with raw egg products...I used 1/2 tsp salt & 1/8 tsp pepper. Fits comfortably in a 9-inch DEEP DISH pie shell. All-in-all, a wonderful meal-time treat!

Jambalaya Salad

I made this for a workplace potluck and two people requested the recipe. Good dish, however, after chopping up everything it was not quick. Suggest robust italian dressing. Will probably make again.

Light and Fluffy Spinach Quiche

Reviewed: Aug. 2, 2005
As named, this quiche is light, fluffy and delicious! For such a nice taste, this was incredibly easy to make. I, too, used a deep dish pie crust, sauteed the onions first, and added a touch of pepper, parmesan cheese (2 tsp), and garlic. One previous reviewer questioned why all the ingredients couldn't be mixed together. I mixed the onions in with the spinach-egg mixture, and layered the heavy ingredients on the bottom (cheese, m'shrooms, meat, etc.), so they wouldn't weigh down the quiche mixture; keeping it light and fluffly. A+++ Kristin!
