My favorite things to cook
I like to make big meals. Nothing better than laying out a big spread for everyone to enjoy. Also, I like to try new recipes. Cooking is my hobby, I love being in the kitchen mixing some new recipe. I perticularly like as I can read the suggested recipe and the reviews from others and tweek it to be my recipe.
My cooking tragedies
I don't like to think anything is a tradegy rather it's a learning experience. Sometimes my tragedies have become my greatest success. Just because the recipe doesn't turn out as predicted doesn't mean it won't be tasty.

Daffodil Vegetable Dip
After reading reviews I was somewhat dissapointed. Next time I might increase herbs, onions & garlic. Found it somewhat bland. The egg flavour takes away from the cream cheese I might either cut egg back or leave it out all together. Other wise it was an ok recipe, just not one of my favorites.

Beer Bread I
This bread is very tasty. I made mine using wholewheat bread flour. My 1st attempt was a flop as I doubled the recipe to try and make a full size loaf. The bread just wouldn't cook. I baked it for approx 1 1/2hrs before giving up. The taste was very good and the kids really liked the flavour, so I tried it again. This time only making one loaf and allowing it to rise for 1/2hr, adding 2 1/2tsp baking powder and 1/2 tsp salt, I cooked it for 60 min. It was delicious. I'll make it again using my modifications.
