I love trying new things and feeding my family. I work full time, but it is a joy in my life to go home and make dinner every night. Growing up, there was always a BIG meal on Sunday afternoons--beef roast, mashed potatoes, a few kinds of veggies, homemade rolls or biscuits with jam, and cookies or pie. I love being home (or at grandma's!) on Sundays--which doesn't happen often, since it's a 2-day drive to either. My first experience with making cookies without my mom (I was 11) I mixed up tablespoons with teaspoons. The proportions were SOO off... and I was so proud of myself. I learned (much later) that my parents threw them away and replaced them with edible cookies that night while I was sleep.
