About this Cook
I love trying new things and feeding my family. I work full time, but it is a joy in my life to go home and make dinner every night.
My favorite family cooking traditions
Growing up, there was always a BIG meal on Sunday afternoons--beef roast, mashed potatoes, a few kinds of veggies, homemade rolls or biscuits with jam, and cookies or pie. I love being home (or at grandma's!) on Sundays--which doesn't happen often, since it's a 2-day drive to either.
My cooking tragedies
My first experience with making cookies without my mom (I was 11) I mixed up tablespoons with teaspoons. The proportions were SOO off... and I was so proud of myself. I learned (much later) that my parents threw them away and replaced them with edible cookies that night while I was sleep.

Baked Soy Lemon Chops
This recipe is AMAZING. The pork chops came out very tender, and the flavor was strong without being overpowering. My husband has already asked for it again.

Cheddar Bay Biscuits
Just like the restaurant. I think they are a little too garlicky, but that's probably just my taste.

Pumpkin Chocolate Chip Muffins
These are my husband's new favorite. He gobbled up the first batch within a matter of a few days, and then asked when I would make more!
