French Egg and Bacon Sandwich

Reviewed: Sep. 12, 2011
LOVE these sandwiches! I pour the syrup onto the egg instead of on top so that I can eat it like a sandwich. I also like to add some cheese.

Egg in a Boat

A favourite recipe from my childhood - sometimes I like to melt cheese on top during the last few minutes of cooking.

Creamy Cheesy Scrambled Eggs with Basil

Reviewed: Aug. 29, 2011
WOW!!! Where has this recipe been all my life?!?! The sour cream gives the eggs a completely different texture which is unbelievably creamy. I added some chopped peppers and onions which nicely complemented the basil. This will now be the only way I make scrambled eggs! Thank you!!!

Beth's Peach-Nectarine Muffins

Reviewed: Aug. 27, 2011
Great recipe! I just moved to the South Okanagan in BC, where fresh fruit is plentiful. Found myself with a box of nectarines needing to be used. Unfortunately my muffin pans are packed somewhere - so I made a loaf instead. I used 6 small nectarines, threw them into a food processor until it was a slightly chunky slop. As suggested in another review, I waited until the fruit was mixed with the flour mix before I added milk - good thing, because I didn't really need any added liquid. I also added some cinnamon and vanilla. Took about 50 minutes to cook and it turned out fantastic!!!! My boyfriend even said it was the best "baked concoction" I've ever made! Cannot wait to try this recipe again once the muffin pans get unpacked. This will certainly be an often-used recipe in my household!!

Campfire Veggies

Reviewed: May 4, 2011
Yummy!! I used a can of mixed vegetables (which already had potatoes & onions in it). Put a few globs of butter on it, sealed up my tin foil packet, and baked in the oven at 350F for 20 minutes. I took it out half way through and gave it a little shake. Turned out fantastic!!! I ate all my veggies before I even touched the rest of my meal! Looking forward to this making regular appearances at mealtimes.

Egg Sandwich

Reviewed: Apr. 16, 2011
Yummy! I've been making these for years - often I get strange looks when talking about microwaving eggs, but they turn out fantastic. It's a lazy version of scrambled eggs! Best thing about these is how versatile the recipe is. I've thrown all kinds of meats and veggies into the eggs and it all turns out fantastic!

Apple Crisp III

Reviewed: Dec. 20, 2010
FANTASTIC!! I used 1/2 c each of brown & white sugar (as many others suggested) and a mix of apples I had sitting around the house. This turned into the most amazing apple crisp I've ever eaten!! My boyfriend had most of his piece devoured before I even had a chance to ask how he liked it. Definitely a keeper!!

Quick Szechwan Sauce

Reviewed: Oct. 14, 2009
Great recipe! I used ground ginger powder (1tsp) and garlic powder (1tsp) and substituted dried red pepper flakes (my boyfriend has no palate for heat!). Definitely a keeper!
