I made these as a treat to eat for a Bunco party I was hosting. They were easy to make and a big hit.

Ham and Cheese Quiche

Reviewed: Mar. 26, 2011
I made this quiche and it was a great success. My 17 year old son loved it and he hates fresh spinach. I made two this week (froze one for later). I made two more yesterday at 5:30 am. I did change the receipe in the smallest way. I used Smithfield ham the first time because I had some in the freezer. The second time I used deep dish pie shells because they were in the freezer. One time I ate a reallly fluffy omlet in a restraunt. I asked what the secret was. The said add flour and mix in a blender. This time I added a tablespoon of flour and mixed in the blender to make it fluffy enough to fill a deep pie shell. It worked. It almost overflowed. I gave one to my in-laws to enjoy and we are eating the other for dinner tonight. Thanks.

Grandmother's Buttermilk Cornbread

Reviewed: Mar. 26, 2011
I am not a fan of corn bread. Then again I think I have only had it made from a box. My husband and son do like it. They often eat muffins for breakfast. This recipe can't even be compared to a box. It was wonderful. My husband told me to save the crumbs when I gave him a piece. I packed some for my son's (17) school lunch. He later volunteered that is was a wonderful surprise. I think I will make two batchezs next time and freeze one of them. Thanks.

Cobb Salad

Reviewed: Mar. 26, 2011
I made this salad for my family and they loved. I think they enjoyed it even more when I served it again as left overs. The only change I made was that I added home made croutons. Something tells me I will be makeing this salad often by request.

Croutons

Reviewed: Mar. 26, 2011
This was the first time my own croutons. They were wonderful. My son especially liked them. He ate most of them before I could get a salad (cobb) made. I think I am going to make anoter, bigger batch right now.

Slow Cooker Pulled Pork

Reviewed: Mar. 15, 2011
This was so easy to make and really good. My son is a very picky eater. He actually gags on most meat. He ate two and 1/2 half of these last night for dinner. Tonight he could not wait for dinner to be served so he ate two before my husband got home from work. last night I chopped up some of the pork for sandwiches. The rest I sliced for dinner tonight. We all loved this recipe and I will make again very soon and double the recipe (at least) so I can share some and freeze some for later. Thanks!!

Banana Pudding IV

Reviewed: Apr. 12, 2010
I gave this review 5 stars even though I have made it twice and both times it was more like soup. We still really enjoyed it. I called it Banana Pudding Soup. I have no clue about what I am doing wrong but I do know that I am going to keep trying until I get it right. Well I finally got it right and it was the best banana pudding ever. I have never made instant pudding. For some reason I was using the bread dough attachment instead of the whisk. Once I came to my senses and used the whisk it was perfect and enjoyed by all.

My husband and son loved this bread. I did not make any changes. My husband said that it was cooked just right. It was moist and had great flavor. I added choc chips to one loaf.
