Put the Kettle on....

Dude, Where's my car??!!

This morning I decided to stop at the grocery store on my way to work and pick up some fruit and a pre-made sandwich for my lunch.  At 6:30 a.m. there were only 2 other cars in the parking lot.  I made my choices - an Italian sub and some pre-cut mango (what I don't eat the iguana will!) and made my way to the check-out.  There was a lady in the other self check aisle next to me finishing up just as I completed my purchase, and I walked out ahead of her.

I walk out to the parking lot, click my key fob and pull on my door handle.  Wait!!  My door didn't unlock, so I click the fob again.  It still didn't unlock!  Suddenly from behind me I hear a woman's voice saying "Ma'am I could give you a ride if you need it".  I turn to look and it's the woman who finished her shopping when I did.  I look back at the car.  Whoa!!  It's not my car!!  We had a good laugh at that and I walked over to the next silver Explorer - which was mine.  Whew!  You would think in a parking lot with only 3 cars in it I could find my car!  But, I have an excuse - one was a mini van and the other two were silver Explorers - at least it was the same kind of car, huh??!!

LOL That's funny!! I've done that before, but luckily for me the owner of the car wasn't around. Sometimes I don't notice it's not the right car until I look inside and don't recognize the contents inside. haha!

This has happened to me before, Mother Ann. At least the lady didn't think you were trying to steal her car. Btw, cute doggies!!

This also happened to me a couple of month ago. I was really glad the owner wasn't around, it was the same exact car and color parked really close to mine.

Heehee, I have done that before, just outside a restaurant, and the owner came out to see why I was so determined to get into his car. Luckily, your lady was good natured about it. Mornings are tough!

My mom used to say "No sense being stupid if you don't show it." Oddly comforting isn't it? LOL

I like your mom's way of thinking - I follow that often!!

My brother leased a truck one year. He went to pic up his pictures and got into "his" truck and began looking at his pictures. A man approached the truck and my brother nonchalantly pushed the lock down with his elbow. Needless to say it was the man's truck not my brothers! LOL

About Me
I've been married for 33 years, and live in Ohio. We have a daughter who is married and lives nearby. Our son graduated from college and moved to South Dakota. He has his own place but still goes to visit my sister and brother-in-law and have dinner with them occasionally. We have two black labs that get to go duck hunting with dad and two cats. We own a Mexican restaurant and are learning alot about the food industry. I love to eat, go camping, read, spend time with family and friends, watch movies, and drink wine; not necessarily in that order.
My favorite things to cook
I love to bake - anything chocolate is fine with me. Seafood, chicken dishes and slow-cooker fare.
My favorite family cooking traditions
My husband and I enjoy cooking together with wine. We pop open a bottle of wine and get cooking. :-)
My cooking triumphs
Whenever I can put together a meal that gets many compliments and leaves the diners satisfied is a triumph in my book! I love to cook meals for family and friends.
My cooking tragedies
When I was first married we had my grandparent's-in-law over for a pot roast dinner. The meat came out great, but the potatoes and carrots were still half raw. My husband's grandfather went to cut his fork into a carrot and it flew off his plate. He looked at me, winked, and said he loved his carrots that way!
