Whole Wheat Bread II

Reviewed: Nov. 14, 2009
First try at whole wheat bread. It was perfect! I halved the recipe so that it made 2 loaves and used all purpose flour instead of the bread flour. Good texture will be making again soon.... Thanks Ruth

Jiffy Casserole

Reviewed: Nov. 12, 2009
Good solid meal. My family enjoyed it. Just beware of the name, its not jiffy, it has to cook for at least an hour. I made a few modifications. I used about 7 potatoes, browned my onions with my meat which was ground turkey. I also used 2 cans of cream of mushroom and mixed with milk instead of water. My family had seconds and are already fighting over who will take the leftover for lunch. Thanks LadyGuin2

Chicken and Dumplings III

Reviewed: Nov. 12, 2009
Very good recipe, will make again. Family loved it and fought over the leftovers. Even my husband who said He did like that, after tasting it ate 2 servings. I did a few modification; used a rotisserie chicken. Boiled covering it with water. When falling apart take it out of the broth deboned after cooled enough. So ended up using at least double the water called for and it was actually broth. I also used 2 cans of buttermilk biscuits. I did uses the 2 cans of cream of celery soup. As i said the meal was a pleaser with my family.

Crispy Oven-Fried Fish Fillets

Reviewed: Oct. 24, 2009
You will never deep fry again.....didn't read the directions too good and mixed the flour with the bread crumbs. It was great, dipped in milk, added desired seasoning then dipped in flour, crumb mixture. the last step of spraying on the cooking spray makes it come out like fried. Used fresh catfish but any fish would be good.....

Oregon Salmon Patties

Reviewed: Oct. 21, 2009
OMG! these are wonderful and addictive. I have made several variety of these with the same basic recipe and they have all been great. We have eaten them several times this week. I used canned salmon, mixed canned salmon and canned tuna together then tonight I used fresh tuna that i cooked then flaked/broke up and added some cream cheese to the mixture. They were awesome. I have to say though I have never added the reserved liq. Next I'm gonna try baking them instead of frying them and try them with veg. instead of meat just for the fun of it. Thanks for a great recipe!
