Teriyaki Potatoes

Reviewed: Oct. 15, 2011
pretty good - i used onion salt and garlic powder, because that's what i had, and a couple dashes of sriracha because i got tired of looking for the cayenne.

Last Minute Chicken Dinner

Reviewed: Oct. 6, 2011
this is a pretty good base recipe - i used cr. of potato, because that's what i had, so i used chicken bouillon instead of the milk. i sauteed the onion with the chicken, and used quartered baby carrots which i cooked along with the potatoes (i don't care for frozen carrots!), fresh garlic went in with the chicken and onions, and i skipped the parmesan entirely because it seemed out of place. it was enjoyed by all, including the 3-year-old!

Meatloaf with a Ranch Twist

Reviewed: Oct. 2, 2011
this was ok, but i prefer meatloaf with more texture. i might make it again if i didn't have any celery, onions, etc. on hand.

Feta Tomato-Basil Fish

Reviewed: Sep. 29, 2011
this was very good. i used pollock and about triple the amount of onion, served it over brown rice, and everyone loved it - even the three-year-old!

Applesauce Bars

Reviewed: Sep. 5, 2011
good - can substitute fruit babyfood for applesauce. used softened butter instead of melted margarine and added a sm. packet of micky d's caramel sauce for apples instead of vanilla.

Reviewed: Aug. 28, 2011
i made this marinade sans the old bay seasoning, and my 3 year-old granddaughter had three servings!

Pineapple Crisp

Reviewed: Aug. 4, 2011
way too much cornstarch - i used twice as much fruit and cut the c/s down to 1 T. and it was still starchy. personal notes: mango, dried pineapple, chopped macadamias, lime juice

Reviewed: Jul. 21, 2011

Garlic Carrots

Reviewed: Jun. 25, 2011
very good. i used sliced carrots and 3 whole smashed garlic cloves, which i removed at the end of cooking. i also let the liquid boil down to form a sort of glaze at the end.

Hasty Chocolate Pudding

Reviewed: May 17, 2011
i doubled it, and the cooking times needed to be altered; 3 times @ 3 minutes, then 3 times @ 1 minute, using a whip to stir well in between each time. i used amaretto instead of vanilla - yum!

Chicken Bryan

Reviewed: Feb. 14, 2011
omg...i love this dish at the restaurant, and the home version does not disappoint. i was tempted to say that there is too much lemon juice, but after tasting the sauce with the basil and tomato, on the chicken, i have to say that it is nigh on perfect! (though a more accurate measure, i.e., 3Tbsp, would be preferable to the non-specific "juice of two lemons!") i will be making this again! now, can we get them to post their recipe for chicken santa rosa? i should add that while the amount of chicken and cheese is for one serving, the sauce is enough for 6 servings!!

Chili I

better than average, but i can't in good conscience give a chili recipe that calls for 1/2c. brown sugar 5 stars. i used 1T. and that was about right...

Whole Wheat Pumpkin-Applesauce Muffins

Reviewed: Jan. 23, 2011
pretty good as a base recipe. i used neither applesauce nor canned pumpkin; i was wanting to use up some baby food, so i used a cup of random baby food fruits in place of the pumpkin and applesauce, and followed the rest of the recipe exactly. very tasty.
