Slow Cooker Texas Pulled Pork

Reviewed: Jun. 28, 2011
Oh man, this was really good. I followed the recipe almost exactly as written. The only changes I made were to add a 1/2 tsp of liquid smoke. Also instead of serving it with BBQ sauce I scooped out some of the liquid from the slow cooker and reduced it until it thickened slightly and poured a little of it over the pork.

Oven Fried Chicken III

Reviewed: Jun. 27, 2011
This was really, REALLY good. I love the mayo idea. I soaked my chicken in half & half for four or five hours before cooking. I mixed some half & half into the mayo to thin it a little as others suggested. I also mixed some instant mashed potato flakes into the bread crumbs and sprayed the chicken with a little bit of canola oil before baking.

Slow Cooker Beef Stew IV

Reviewed: Jan. 21, 2011
Boyfriend described this as the "best stew I've ever made." So I'd say the extra steps are worth it. I added a little extra wine, worcestershire, and garlic powder like others suggested. I also wound up cooking it for 1 1/2 hours on high heat and 3 on low to shave some cooking time. Awesome recipe! Thanks so much for sharing it.

Baked Asparagus with Balsamic Butter Sauce

Reviewed: Dec. 10, 2010
As written the recipe is good, but tastes a little too much of soy sauce. As edited by other users to 1 tbp. of soy sauce & 2 tbp. of balsamic, the flavors are more balanced.

Lemon Cream Pasta with Chicken

Reviewed: Dec. 10, 2010
I followed this recipe to the letter, except I used a cup of half and half instead of a cup of heavy cream to cut down on the calories. I really liked this dish, but my boyfriend LOVED it. I will definitely make this one again. Thanks for sharing it, Lisa! Edit: I also add a cup of broccoli when I'm putting in the cream sometimes just to get a few veggies in.

Baked Potato Soup

Reviewed: Nov. 8, 2010
I wanted to love this, but it fell really short. I just found it to be incredibly bland. If I'm going to make something that is all fat and carbs with very few other nutrients then I want it to be awesome. This is far from it. I threw most of it out.

Easy Vodka Sauce

Reviewed: Feb. 14, 2010
This is a fantastic recipe. I added some diced garlic while sauteing the onions because I am of the opinion that (almost) everything tastes better with garlic, but I'm sure this recipe would have still been phenomenal exactly as written.
