Golden Sweet Cornbread

Reviewed: Mar. 30, 2014
Soo good!! Moist and sweet! Substituted melted butter instead of vegetable oil and added a little more than the suggested 1/3cup. Soaked the cornmeal in milk for 10mins before combining with the rest of the dry ingredients. Mixed in 1tsp vanilla extract.

Carrot Cake III

Reviewed: Dec. 5, 2009
i'm a first time carrot cake baker and it came out just perfect! i followed the instructions as is except i added a 1/4 tsp of nutmeg. my boyfriend is an avid carrot cake lover and he puts this way up on his list of best ones he's ever had. it was perfectly moist and the icing goes very nicely with it--not too sugary either!

Double Layer Pumpkin Cheesecake

Reviewed: Jan. 31, 2010
I never made cheesecake before but it was easy and everyone loved it! I would recommend adding more of the cheesecake layer, maybe a 1/2 cup more to have a more even layering with the pumpkin. I added choc. chips to the cheesecake layer too! delicious!

Very nice! Light and moist, gorgeous color! Although if not eaten right way, it starts to dry up on the outside quickly.

Best Cream Of Broccoli Soup

Reviewed: Feb. 29, 2012
Delicious! I first made it chunky w/o blending it up but b/c the leftovers got really mushy I used the blender. As suggested by another reviewer, I added some bacon pieces and parmesean cheese to top it off. Will definitely make again! My boyfriend who hates veggies, thought it tasted really good.

Chocolate Crinkles II

Reviewed: Feb. 11, 2010
Awesome! So light and fluffy! Couldn't stop eating them. Followed other reviewer's advice about scooping the batter directly into the powdered sugar and then rolling into balls. It was much easier to handle.

Tres Leches (Milk Cake)

Reviewed: Jan. 30, 2012
I really liked this cake! Rich flavor and good consistency. Some Tres Leches cakes are either too wet to where the cake part is oversaturated and falls apart or too dry where there isn't enough of the milk soaked in. Next time though, I would only use whipped cream on its own for a topping or not at all b/c it is already very sweet on its own. I know this cake is supposed to be quite sweet, but this is exactly how I like it! When I made this I followed the instructions as stated except I made sure the cake to soak overnight before serving.

Bacon Risotto

Delicious!! But a bit on the salty side. I'll cut down on it next time. I added mushrooms cooked with red wine at the end with the bacon.

American Lasagna

Reviewed: Jul. 18, 2010
made some changes: used 1 lb. ground turkey and added olive oil when browning since turkey doesn't have much fat to it, used 2 bottles ragu vegetable primavera sauce and seasoned to taste (added red pepper flakes, parsley, oregano), used 1lb shredded smoked gouda instead of mozzarella, used ricotta 1/2 amt of ricotta, omitted brown sugar and basil. Put sauce as bottom layer and covered with pam covered aluminum foil so it won't stick. Verrry Tasty!! Will make again!

tasted just like homemade twix bars!! very sweet, but definitely worth making! I didn't have milk choc chips so instead I mixed dark choc chips and semi-sweet chips. Very good! Make sure you have some milk to drink with it!
