My Grandma's pickled salmon! (Grandpa was a gillnetter and we grew up eating fish, fixed correctly!)
My cooking triumphs
A simple roasted winter vegetable dish I fixed for Thanksgiving many many years ago. Now I can't find the recipe. :(
My cooking tragedies
Using granulated instead of powdered sugar when making frosting. But I was only 12 and cooking with my best friend Cindy. We were making a cake for the first time. We laughed all the time and obviously weren't paying attention!

King Ranch Chicken Casserole I
I haven't made this is years. It is wonderful though! I agree with another reviewer: use corn tortillas cut into 4ths. This is coming up for dinner soon!!!

Hamburger Pie
Mom made this all the time when I was growing up. It is easy to make in a foil container and give away. I have often done this for friends who have just moved or brought home a new baby. It freezes well if need be, or can be reheated in the micro serving by serving as people are hungry.

Best Ever Shrimp Dip
Very good recipe but I made the mistake of using 'light' mayo. It seperated and was watery. I put it in a sieve over a bowl and got almost 3/4 C. of liquid drained though. After the leftovers sat in the fridge another day, I still poured off a bit of liquid. I also chopped the schrimp a bit so it was the same size as the onion and celery.
