Cinnamon Rolls III

Reviewed: Apr. 1, 2012
This is the most amazing cinnamon rolls! I have tried many other recipes but none of them even compare! The only thing I do different is, I add the whole pkg of pudding. Why have 1/2 sitting around waiting to spill? I have done the butter/sugar/cinnamon combo 2 different ways. Spread butter then sprinkle brown brown sugar/cinnamon on & mix all three together in a small bowl & then spread on. I felt there was no difference in outcome. Both amazing! This dough is actually a pleasure to work with! Enjoy! For ease I usually just use a boughten can of frosting. :)

Cream Cheese Pound Cake II

Awesome! It's like the child of an Angel Food cake & a regular cake! I think the egg whites make the texture on this cake!

Never any leftovers! We love this! I have made it with just chicken broth & also made with wine. Didn't notice a difference. Love!

Tex-Mex Turkey Soup

Reviewed: Nov. 28, 2011
Amazing! You could very easily substitute shredded chicken. I used about half of the turkey it calls for. I seasoned to taste with garlic salt, salt, and onion powder. The fresh green onions and cilantro send it out of this world.

Fantastic Chicken Burgers

Reviewed: Jul. 21, 2011
DELICIOUS! Just a head's up... Guacamole seasoning mix is in the chip aisle. I had quite a time figuring that out. I didn't tell my DH that was in it. (I knew he wouldn't eat it, he's very picky!!!) He was ranting and raving about that this is something you would get at a restaurant. Make sure you get the ciabatta bread. It is worth the extra $. Also for those that complain about it being bland, try adding a bit more of the guacamole packet, try a different brand of the guacamole packet & add a bit more lime. The lime really pops the flavor! I've used a drier lime & could definitely tell the difference. An average lime yields 2 Tblsps juice. So now I always make sure I have a healthy Tblsp full of juice. We have made this recipe countless times. Getting ready to make again. :)

Grandma's Doughnuts

Reviewed: May 25, 2011
I've been making this years too. Just want to mention that our families favorite way to make them is to fry, let them drain on a paper towel lined plate & then shake them in a small paper bag with plain white sugar. You can use a brown paper bag like you can buy for making lunches or what I LOVE to use is the left over sugar bag. It is a bit thicker. And why not repurpose the sugar bag if you can?! Hey, I like being green when I can. ;)

Chris' Chili

Awesome! I want to note that I didn't have tomato paste so I used a 15 oz can of tomato sauce. Also my hubby won't eat kidney beans so I put a can of Bush's Best Grillin' Beans- Texas Ranchero. Yummo!

Slow-Cooker Chicken Tortilla Soup

Reviewed: Apr. 8, 2011
I love the ease of this recipe. It is delish BUT I warn you it has some heat! My kids would barely touch it. I like hot things and it was almost too hot for me. My hubby seemed like he was in heaven though. I think I will try to tone down the heat a bit to make it more family friendly.

Taqueria Style Tacos - Carne Asada

Reviewed: Apr. 8, 2011
We love fajitas and my hubby said he would be fine never having another fajita again just as long as I make this meat. I precut my petite sirloin in chunks and marinated the meat all day. AMAZING! I did follow the review of another saying to blend the marinade together. I think that was brilliant! I personally thought the "salsa" and the onion/cilantro/lime relish was good but not great. I will skip those the next time and keep the carne asada meat recipe locked in a safe. lol

Carne en su Jugo (Meat in its Juices)

Reviewed: Apr. 8, 2011
We loved this recipe! I served (almost like a gravy) over plain white rice. I also had a bowl of tortilla chips on the table to dip with. DELISH!!! Our grocery store was out of serrano peppers. So I substituted 1 large banana pepper. I will try with the serrano peppers the next time.

Excellent! The only thing I did different (because I didn't have almonds) is substitute chopped peanuts instead. The peanuts tasted amazing! My husband loves coffee cakes & he said this was his favorite one ever! Thanks!

Buffalo Chicken Wing Soup

Reviewed: Mar. 22, 2011
I sooo wanted to love this! I love Buffalo Chicken but unfortunately, it didn't work out for us at all. I couldn't even keep the left-overs. The kids wouldn't eat it. I think this may be a recipe that might have to have certain brands used on the ingredients. The wing sauce & condensed soups that I used had a terrible taste! :(

Fabulous Beef Tenderloin

Reviewed: Mar. 22, 2011
We LOVE this!!! We love adding some potatoes into the butter/soy sauce mixture. I cut in ¼ or 1/8 depending on the size of the potato. & I have them bake the entire time. It just enhances the amazing tenderloin. We do use low sodium soy sauce.

Real Italian Calzones

Reviewed: Mar. 22, 2011
The calzone dough was amazing! (easy to work w/ & a nice consistency) I threw all the dough ingredients in my bread machine & let it do the work. I brushed EVOO over them before baking. (no egg) I will be making regularly!!! Next time I will try the filling. This time I tried the new cooking creme from Phillidelphia Cream Cheese in the Savory Garlic Flavor (recipe on top of pkg)

Lyn's Chill Chaser Soup

Reviewed: Jan. 19, 2011
We thought this was amazing! I am already dreaming of making it again. The only thing I did differently was I forgot the parmesan cheese & I used chopped up Genoa Salami instead of the pepperoni. (only because I thought it would be similar & I didn't feel like going back to the store) I thought this tasted like a silky, pizzaish soup. DELISH!!! Thanks for sharing this recipe!

My Favorite Green Bean Casserole

Reviewed: Jan. 14, 2011
This was BANG on for our family. I am not the biggest fan of "normal" Green Bean Casseroles w/ the Cream of Mushroom soup & fried onions on top, so I've been wanting to find something different. And this is it! I did everything as is, except for I threw in some left-over ham & didn't do so much butter for the topping. (due to previous reviews) I did a couple Tblspoons of marg & crushed cornflakes. DELISH!!! A note though... The ham took it over the top!!! BUT if you use the ham you may want to tone down the salt. We liked it, but I'm sure a lot of people would have thought it was a bit salty. THANKS for this recipe!! This is one I will be making OFTEN! :)
