About this Cook
Im meg and I love to cook anything from scratch. I love a good challenge and I love learning new cooking techniques! practice makes perfect.
My favorite things to cook
Polish, Thai, Asian, American, and Any comfort foods
My favorite family cooking traditions
My family is polish and I grew up making lots of polish food with my Babchi and my mom. Holidays were a favorite in my family where we would make batches of Kapusta, Borcht, Golubis and Perogis. I will always have fond memories of my babchi rolling out the dough for the perogis and my mother and I making the fillings. My Babchi has since passed away but I still continue to make these wonderful polish dishes in her memory. So Delish!

General Tao Chicken
I had very high hopes for this recipe. I followed the directions to a T but somehow it did not come together for me. It did taste very oyster-ey so maybe if i cut back on that next time.

Chicken Marsala
This was really good. I have never made marsala before and i was surprised at how easy it was. The only think i did differently was, once the chicken was browned on each side I removed it from the pan and sauteed the mushrooms and onion, once browned I added the chicken back in the pan to simmer. My boyfriend loved it!

Baked Asian-Style Honey Chicken
MMMHHHHHHHHHHH!!! This was delish! I used a whole 4lb bird rather than chopping it up. Cooked it for about an hour and 45 basting every 15 or 20 minutes. The flavor was great. the only thing I added was some brown sugar, lime juice and a little chili garlic paste. Came out great, cant wait to eat the left overs!
