Cheese Garlic Biscuits I

These were great! I changed the recipe quite a bit though. I used water instead of milk, at least doubled the amount of cheese, and added minced garlic to the mix as well as the topping. Yum!

Quick and Almost-Professional Buttercream Icing

It's average, at best. Maybe I just don't like buttercream. I found the taste too sweet. However; I did find that this was definitely good for piping...not runny at all (as some of the other reviewers said). Will not likely make this again.

These are WONDERFUL!! I used peach and raspberry filling. I used the lid of a mason jar to cut the rounds and folded two opposite sides together....worked well! Made little star cutouts for the kids and just put a little dollop of filling in the middle! Will definitely make again.....a keeper.

Homemade Bread

This recipe went terribly wrong for me. I ended up with bread like hockey pucks. I think that my problem is when I was kneading the dough I put flour on the table and my hands and they kept sticking so I kept adding flour to my hands. I followed the recipe exactly. It appeared to rise wonderfully, until I divided it up and let rise the last time in the loaf tins. I also used quick rise yeast. A

Flan de Coco (Coconut Flan)

Great Flan! My husband is Cuban and he says it's JUST like his mom makes ; ) I made a couple small modifications as well: I don't add the 1/2 cup sugar nor the 1/2 cup milk to the custard mix and I use only 5 eggs. Straining the mix through a fine mesh before baking makes the texture MUCH nicer......yummy!

Granny Kat's Pumpkin Roll

MUCH EASIER THAN YOU EXPECT! I would recommend anybody to try this roll. The first time I made it I had one small tear in the cake while I was rolling it up, but that's it! It's important to make sure the cake is cooled before icing it, and use wax paper on the baking sheet and also on top of the towel. I used a regular old terry towel and it never stuck (I dusted it on both sides with icing sugar). Yummy!!
