Perfect Gingerbread Cookies

Reviewed: Oct. 30, 2010
A really good cookie! It is my experience with gingerbread cookies, that the dough will be sticky, there is nothing wrong with this recipe. I had to add a minimal amount of flour as I was rolling the cookies out and the they stuck to the glass I was using to cut out round cookies. With the last of the dough I tried rolling (about a spoonful) per cookie, into small balls and then flattening them a bit with a spatula. These turned out great and were so much easier than trying to roll out the dough. The cookies were a little thicker and very good that way.

Brownie cookies

Reviewed: Jan. 16, 2011
Good chocolate cookie. Follow the directions and refrigerate over night. Nothing messy about them and the result is a perfectly round chocolate cookie. I baked them for 12 minutes and they were not "chewy" so if thats what you're trying for, I suggest you check them at less.

Oyster and Spinach Chowder

Reviewed: Jan. 31, 2010
Excellent! Being a clam lover, I am not too fond of oysters but this was terrific. I will make this again. I may try it with clams the next time. Just a personal preference. They are "meatier." A great recipe/

Polish Noodles

Reviewed: Jan. 1, 2010
It was a cold day here in Buffalo, NY and this really hit the spot. A real comfort food. I only had smoked sausage on hand and it turned out great. I think it would also be good with ham. It's the kind of dish you can use your imagination with. Good recipe for a cold day.

Macadamia Nut Cookies

Be sure to chop the macadamia nuts into big chunks. I liked them better when they had completely cooled.

Delicious Blueberry Smoothie

Reviewed: Oct. 31, 2009
Try it with a chopped up apple instead of the juice and a fresh banana. I omitted the tea and added 1/2 of vanilla yogurt, 1 cup of frozen blueberries and 1 tbls. of flaxseed meal for health reasons and flavor.

Chocolate Yule Log

I made this recipe as written and it was wonderful. I do think next time I would make a frosting that not as sweet but that is purely my taste, not a fault of this terrific recipe.

Carrot Spice Muffins

Reviewed: May 16, 2010
This is a great recipe and a great muffin full of flavor. It's not intended to please those people who are looking for candy but rather those looking for something a bit more healthy. It is too bad those people gave it few stars because this muffin is moist and terrific. You don't have to feel bad (for those that do) when you eat it.

I used a pie crust with this, green beans instead of the corn and added cheddar cheese on top of the meat layer and as a garnish on top. Wonderful.

Adrienne's Cucumber Salad

Made this go with my mothers lunch and she loved it. I can't say I followed the recipe as I only used half a cucumber for one serving but I tried to adjust it as closely as possible.

Awesome!! I made it exactly as is with a little added chocolate to drizzle. It looks so beautiful and tastes so wonderful. I will make this again and again but next time when there are more people around so the left overs can't tempt me.

Didn't have to feel guilty about eating these. I added 2 tablespoons of wheat germ and sprinkled the top with flaxseed meal before baking and added the walnuts as suggested. A very good muffin that I will make again.
