Guinness® Corned Beef

I think this was the best corned beef and cabbage I ever made or had for that matter. So much more tender than boiling and the flavor and aroma was wonderful!!! I was unsure about the brown sugar but coupled with the Guiness; superb! So simple and so good. I wasn't planning on uploading my pictures tonight but I am only because maybe it will get someones attention and they'll also try this method. Thank you Shameless, who ever you are. :)

Oyster and Spinach Chowder

Excellent! Being a clam lover, I am not too fond of oysters but this was terrific. I will make this again. I may try it with clams the next time. Just a personal preference. They are "meatier." A great recipe/

Easy Chicken Enchiladas

Some one said this was rich and they weren't kidding. Together with the jalapeno bread I made, I thought I would explode, but it was wonderfully good. I wasn't counting calories today and no regrets.

I make quick breads all the time for my mother. She likes it in the morning and we both loved this bread. I make so many breads that I rarely make them twice but this ones a keeper.

Spinach and Leek White Bean Soup

Absolutely wonderful! Just my type of soup. I will make this again and again. I did add more garlic and more broth but not because there is anything wrong with this recipe, just my taste. Thanks for a new favorite. I take soup to work almost everyday in the winter and I am always looking for new ideas. Next time I will double it!

Dutch Spice Bread

A good, very heavy bread. I did use light corn syrup because thats what I had on hand. I also did not use the wax paper and had no problems removing it from the pan.

Tommy's Ham Casserole

It is good. A basic casserole using mushroom soup. I agree with the onions, all noodle casseroles need some onions. I also added some chopped sweet red pepper for color and sprinkled it with French Fried Onions

Alaska Salmon Bake with Pecan Crunch Coating

Very good. I couldn't give it 5 stars because I feel salmon in itself has all the flavor it needs. A lot of added calories here that aren't at all needed. It is good and looks impressive but I would save it for white fish.

Polish Noodles

It was a cold day here in Buffalo, NY and this really hit the spot. A real comfort food. I only had smoked sausage on hand and it turned out great. I think it would also be good with ham. It's the kind of dish you can use your imagination with. Good recipe for a cold day.
