Mrs. Sigg's Snickerdoodles

Reviewed: Apr. 7, 2013
They were ok! I guess they taste how a snickerdoodle ought to. I guess I'm just not a fan of snickerdoodles.

Good Old Fashioned Pancakes

Reviewed: Jan. 24, 2013
I made the recipe exactly as stated and they were nothing special, in my opinion. Don't get me wrong, there is no mistaking that these are pancakes,.... only I would say, they are not my ideal pancakes which are fluffier, a little more cakey/tender (as opposed rubbery/tender like this recipe) Not saying these were very rubbery bordering on something wrong with the recipe, they just weren't perfect in my opinion.

Scrambled Egg Muffins

Reviewed: Apr. 13, 2011
I undercooked these just slightly and still found them to be on the dry side. If I were to do them all over again, I'd use less egg, more cheese, and I'd add sauteed mushrooms. Then I think these would be bearable or perhaps even good, but this recipe didn't do it for me at all. Dry rubbery eggs just ain't my bag, baby.

Oven Pot Roast

Reviewed: Aug. 31, 2010
I thought the cooking time neeed to be increased to 5 hours. 3 hours it was still tough, 4 hours it was still kinda tough, after I cut it up in chunks and through it back in the oven, it was finally tender after 5 total hours. The sauce was a little runny.

Bacon Wrapped Water Chestnuts II

Reviewed: Nov. 7, 2009
This was pretty good. I used tapatio for the chili sauce since I was clueless about what kind of chili sauce to use since there are so many different types of chiles out there. I mean "chili sauce" is a pretty ambiguous ingredient. It could mean anything, so I used tapatio. Was anyone else stressing about what kind of chili sauce to use? I almost didn't make this because I didn't know what "chili sauce" meant. Anyway, it turned out good. Next time I'll try it using miracle whip and some other random sauce with some kind of chile in it. I precooked the bacon halfway before wrapping the chestnuts. I think it helps the chestnuts keep their crunch while in the oven. And of course the bacon gets crunchier sooner! Anyway, I'm going to serve this to my boyfriend some time.

Saltine Toffee Cookies

Very easy to make. Tastes a lot like almond roca, except better. I toasted the chopped pecans.
