About this Cook
I'm a 25 year old female from Oregon, and surprise: I like to cook.
My favorite things to cook
I love to cook appetizers, desserts, dips, and exotic ethnic foods like Thai, Indian, and Morrocan. I love to try new things, so I do it for the variety of tastes and fun. I also like to decorate my food. So the more beautiful, odd or outlandish it LOOKS, the more appealing it is to me.
My favorite family cooking traditions
Every Thanksgiving, and Christmas it's THE SAME THING EVERY TIME. Nothing is ever DIFFERENT. Maybe that's why I have to switch it up all of the time. Lol, unbalanced parenting, unbalanced offspring. Kind of explains why I don't have a husband. Haha, jk. Well, maybe not, but that's an entirely different story for an entirely different website. :-D
My cooking triumphs
I don't know, I make everything great. My cooking triumph is that I'm me.
My cooking tragedies
It's a pretty touchy subject, but I made a really unfortunate-tasting corn chowder when I was 18. Actually it was so bad that my EX-boyfriend tried to drown me in it. I'm just kidding.

Mrs. Sigg's Snickerdoodles
They were ok! I guess they taste how a snickerdoodle ought to. I guess I'm just not a fan of snickerdoodles.

Good Old Fashioned Pancakes
I made the recipe exactly as stated and they were nothing special, in my opinion. Don't get me wrong, there is no mistaking that these are pancakes,.... only I would say, they are not my ideal pancakes which are fluffier, a little more cakey/tender (as opposed rubbery/tender like this recipe) Not saying these were very rubbery bordering on something wrong with the recipe, they just weren't perfect in my opinion.

Oven Pot Roast
I thought the cooking time neeed to be increased to 5 hours. 3 hours it was still tough, 4 hours it was still kinda tough, after I cut it up in chunks and through it back in the oven, it was finally tender after 5 total hours. The sauce was a little runny.
