Alyson's Broccoli Salad

I have made this for several functions and get nothing but rave reviews! I began to experiment with other ingredients after reading reviews and wanting a more colorful salad. I use golden raisins, they just taste better! Its excellent to add a diced yellow or orange bell pepper, this give extra crunch and looks pretty too. I also shred a carrot or two depending on salad size. I have found that apple cider vinegar makes it better compared to white vinegar. Even broccoli haters love this salad! It makes the perfect accompaniment to any bbq food!!

Strawberry Cake and Frosting I

Great flavor and wonderful reviews! I made these cupcakes for my nieces 4th birthday and we called them pink princess cupcakes! Not only did the kids love them but the adults were mowing through the cupcakes! I followed the reviews on making the frosting not so runny but in the end the only thing that helped was putting the frosting in the freezer for a short time. THe frosting was still runny but it didn't really matter because it tasted soooo good. I can't wait to make these for the next birthday!

Hot Pizza Dip

sooo yummy!!! I just used italian seasoning to mix with the cream cheese and for the cheese i used a package mix that had parm in it. This helps to cut back on the list of ingredients without cutting out how wonderful this tastes!

Brown Sugar Meatloaf

SO YUMMY!!! My boyfriend absolutely loves it when I make this. The first time I made it he asked if we could have it for dinner 2 days later! The glaze is so easy to make and I like to cook some in a sauce pan to serve along side the meatloaf! I did however follow the crowd and put this glaze on top of the meatloaf after mixing all the ingredients together. I didn't use milk either because I never use milk in meatloaf and 2 eggs will hold it together! The only other change I made was that when I make meatloaf I use 1lb of ground turkey and 1lb of ground sausage! Its a bit healthier and a lot more tasty!

Beef Taco Bake

This was pretty good but very rich! sour cream definitely helped to tone it down. I added 1/2 a can of kidney beans and corn for some variety and color, could have put a little more in. I think if i make this again I would also use a can of diced tomatoes and try to skip the milk and either use broth or water. It was nice how quick this was to make and only one pan and one dish to clean up after!

Chinese Fried Walnuts

My Grandma made these for every holiday and family get together! they are hands down the BEST food, snack, appetizer or whatever you want to call them. Just be sure to fry them long enough or they wont have enough crunch! test one walnut at a time until you find the right fry time then do in small batches. I like extra salt but either way you cant go wrong!

Juicy Roasted Chicken

I also quartered and onion and stuffed that plus the celery inside the cavity. I didn't have onion powder so i used onion salt and garlic powder. It turned out so good! I will be making this again and again and again!
