Since about the age of ten, I've been in the kitchen. Now, more than ten years later, I'm still not very good :)
Working as a full time web designer for a company that sells digital scales, I've perfected the boxed mac & cheese and other quick and easy meals. I've grown quite tired of the same meal every other night, now I think I'm ready to venture out into the world of cooking. Now, armed with an old, discontinued kitchen scale from work, I'm ready to start experimenting with more complex meals and recipes. Being the "I'm going to do it if it drives all of us insane" type of person that I am, it should be an interesting adventure :)
My favorite things to cook
Pretty much anything I can throw in the oven...for now.
My favorite family cooking traditions
Growing up with three siblings, none of which could agree on a meal, my mom frequently served up one of the few crowd pleasers she had in her mommy recipe arsenal. Large shell noodles with tomato juice and a side of fried potatoes. Now, every so often I find myself craving that tomatoey goodness and can't help but whip up a batch for myself.
My cooking triumphs
Tortilla Beefy Cheesy Beany Bake!
My cooking tragedies
Tomato pasta with sweet cream instead of regular :S
(It was an accident I swear)
