San Francisco Pork Chops

My family found this dish good but very salty. I doubled the sauce, but otherwise followed the recipe exactly. May try it again but cut half the soy sauce in half and replace the missing liquids with either more broth or some white wine.

Filet Mignon with Rich Balsamic Glaze

Made this as per the recipe. This was nice but the balsamique was overpowering ...and we love balsamic vinegar. I'll try this again with some adjustments.

Slow-Cooker Pepper Steak

Tried this recipe as written. If was good but the steak was bland. Needs something to make the steak have some taste. My hubby and I didn't find it absorbed any of the sauce's flavour. The sauce itself was nice on rice. I'll try this again but add something(a rub on the steak or an extra spice of some sort)to try and give the steak a boost.

Lemon Cream Pasta with Chicken

I made this exactly as per the recipe to be able to review it fairly. We found this very bland but I think with some tweaks mentioned in other reviews, it could be a good starting point. As it is you could taste the lemon mildly but not much else. It needs more flavour.

Oven Fresh Seasoned Potato Wedges

Loved these! Even my kids who aren't potato lovers (weird, I know) gobbled them up! Made them exactly like the recipe is written and baked them on stoneware.

Limehouse Chicken

This tasted ok but wasn't a hit with the kids. The taste of the lime was a bit much. May try it again but reduced the lime content.

French Bread

Tasted good but was very, very dense. I proofed the yeast (5tsps.) with 1/2 cup water and 1 tbps of sugar. Followed the recipe from there but reduced flour to 5 cups. The dough just never seemed to rise after the first round.

Jennie's Heavenly Slow Cooker Chicken

Made this exactly as written. Cooked for 6 hours on low. It was FANTASTIC! The kids gobbled it down and my eldest asked to have some for his school lunch the next day (to my hubby's disappointment...he was looking forward to bringing it for his work lunch). This one will be put in our permanent recipe book!
