Im a "prep specialist" at Red Lobster..a Darden Company. I work strictly with seafood and various sauces.
My favorite things to cook
My favorite things to cook are in the realm of Asian Cuisine. Korean and Vietnamese dishes appeal to me most. I love to bake carmel gooey chocoate wonderful things to go with my other vice COFFEE. I love doing Barista duties. W ish I could own a Cappaccinno machine.
My favorite family cooking traditions
Thanksgiving was the biggest cooking day for my Mom. Everything had to be perfect. Now I carry that tradition on for my friends. My family is long gone and every
Thanksgiving my freinds can't wait to see what new things I prepare. Also I said I love to bake so it's my birthday around that time included there are many special desserts and Christmas confections.
My cooking triumphs
Really one big one..RICE..it was the hardest thing to get right. Since I cook Asian Cuisine it is not right till you get the rice correct. There are many types of rice..Bismati, Jasmine, Sushi, Brown, ect.. ect. The other is work related. Till Red Lobster I knew nothing of par sheets..theirs can be at least 10 hrs long and there are many recipie cards. Im still learning..the menu changes on the regular.
My cooking tragedies
Once at age twelve I was learning to cook baked chicken and the grease spilled because I jerked the oven rack. Flames fanned out and I could have burnt the house down. I cryed for a couple days.
